Marketing Manager   $100,000 USD/year

Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This position requires in-person presence at our Austin, Texas campus.

Traditional schools focus on teaching students what to think. This position focuses on teaching them how to execute.

Alpha is developing a non-traditional high school model where students don't attend lectures or memorize information. Instead, they build, ship, communicate, and grow. They launch projects, validate ideas, and acquire real-world capabilities that many adults never develop. Your role ensures they follow through and perform at a high standard.

You will partner directly with high school students as they launch businesses, manage projects, and cultivate the confidence, communication, and competence needed to thrive beyond the classroom. You are not here to deliver theory. You are here to coach execution. You will establish rigorous expectations, maintain accountability, and challenge students to produce work that meets real-world standards.

This position suits individuals who have accomplished meaningful work outside academic settings—built a product, expanded an audience, operated within a startup, or delivered results in a high-velocity environment—and wish to channel that experience into developing the next generation. If you seek a conventional teaching position, this is not that role. If you aim to influence how driven teenagers think, act, and perform, this is the opportunity.

If you've achieved tangible outcomes in your career and want to dedicate your time to challenging motivated teenagers to reach their potential, this is the place. Apply now

  • Monitor student advancement across the 3 C's and take action when performance declines
  • Maintain transparent communication with students and parents regarding progress, shortfalls, and action items

What you will NOT be doing

  • Conducting conventional lectures or following a standardized curriculum
  • Evaluating piles of homework or emphasizing theoretical concepts
  • Accommodating disengaged students or compromising standards for comfort
