Description

NYC-BASED POSITION: This is a full-time, on-site role at our New York City campus.

Frustrated by educational systems that put limits on exceptional students? At Alpha, we're turning traditional education on its head for brilliant young minds who deserve more. We're seeking a detail-oriented operations specialist who finds fulfillment in creating the perfect backdrop for extraordinary learning to flourish.

Alpha stands apart from conventional private education - we're building tomorrow's visionaries through an intensive blend of academic excellence and essential life competencies. Our students master high school curriculum by the time they complete 8th grade, consistently achieving 5s on AP exams and SAT scores above 1350. In this pivotal role, you'll serve as the operational cornerstone of our innovative campus, ensuring our accelerated 2-Hour Learning methodology operates seamlessly while students progress at twice the conventional pace.

From maintaining rigorous safety standards to managing technological resources, your work will free our educational guides to focus exclusively on nurturing these exceptional students. Unlike traditional administrative positions, you'll be part of an environment where academic achievement is celebrated, self-sufficiency is cultivated, and students are challenged to discover their boundless capabilities. If you're passionate about supporting an educational revolution that develops both intellectual prowess and leadership qualities, we invite you to join us in reshaping the landscape of gifted education.

What you will be doing

  • Orchestrate and maintain seamless daily campus operations
  • Provide first-line technology assistance, including basic troubleshooting and liaison with IT specialists when necessary
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with our community of students, parents, and staff through exceptional communication
  • Champion and enforce comprehensive campus safety protocols to maintain a protected learning environment
  • Coordinate essential campus functions including special events, staff integration, and facilities management

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or designing learning materials - our specialized guides handle student education while you create the optimal operational foundation
  • Operating in a silo without seeing the direct impact of your work on student success and family experience
  • Managing mundane paperwork that doesn't directly advance our mission of accelerated, boundary-free learning

Key responsibilities

Power the operational excellence behind an educational revolution - manage a campus where systems run flawlessly, students excel beyond traditional expectations, and families experience an educational environment unlike any other.

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience coordinating complex operations in educational settings, event management, hospitality industry, or comparable environments
  • Demonstrated capacity to maintain composure during challenging situations, show initiative, and effectively prioritize multiple concurrent responsibilities
  • Proficiency with fundamental IT troubleshooting procedures and Google Workspace administration
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that foster community confidence and engagement
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship and availability to work on-location in New York City
