Admissions Counselor   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role based at one of our campuses.

If you're someone who takes initiative and drives results rather than waiting for direction, this role is designed for you. This is a unique opportunity to join one of Alpha's newest campuses and leave a lasting impact from the very beginning. You won't simply be a team member—you'll actively shape the culture, establish standards, and advance with the campus as it expands.

At Alpha, we don't preserve the status quo. We're creating something better for students and their families. We need someone who can fully own the enrollment experience for new families and manage the day-to-day operations that ensure our campus functions effectively.

This is far from a typical admissions position. You won't be confined to a desk writing templated emails or buried in administrative tasks. Instead, you'll conduct impactful family tours, cultivate trust with prospective parents, and shepherd them through a smooth, individualized admissions process. Simultaneously, you'll maintain a safe, compliant campus environment that consistently welcomes students and families with assurance.

Alpha is a K–12 private school that transforms how children learn. We combine adaptive technology and skilled Guides to provide personalized, mastery-based education that equips students for life beyond standardized testing. In this position, you'll be the frontline ambassador of that mission, bringing it to life for every family who enters our doors.

If you're prepared to accelerate your growth while contributing to meaningful work, we want to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting personalized, high-conversion family tours that communicate Alpha's three commitments and build confidence in our educational model.
  • Developing and implementing proactive outreach strategies with prospective families to advance them through the admissions pipeline.
  • Maintaining strict safety and safeguarding standards to establish a demonstrably secure environment for students and families.
  • Managing comprehensive facilities operations, including preventative maintenance, vendor relationships, and repair supervision.
  • Regularly reviewing data to optimize processes and enhance both operational performance and enrollment results.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Being limited to a single, monotonous administrative function or isolated department.
  • Operating under inflexible, top-down micromanagement that restricts your autonomy.
  • Dealing with bureaucratic obstacles that hinder meaningful advancement.
  • Concentrating solely on documentation, detached from the students and families you support.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a seamless, high-impact admissions experience while ensuring a safe, well-maintained campus environment, allowing Alpha to expand and fulfill its commitments to families.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (no specific field required)
  • 1+ years experience in school admissions or enrollment
  • Experience working with children/students
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, initiative, and self-management.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be available to work in person in Palm Beach, FL; Miami, FL; Piedmont, CA; Santa Monica, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Roswell, GA or Raleigh, NC.
