Admissions Counselor   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person position based at one of our campus locations.

If you're someone who prefers action over hesitation and ownership over approval-seeking, this role is designed for you. This represents a compelling opportunity to join one of Alpha's most recently launched campuses and leave a lasting impact from the outset. Your involvement will extend beyond team membership—you'll actively shape campus culture, establish operating standards, and advance alongside the campus during its growth phase.

Alpha's mission is not to preserve existing educational models. We are constructing a superior alternative for students and their families. We seek an individual capable of assuming complete ownership of both the family enrollment experience and the operational functions that sustain campus performance.

This position diverges from conventional admissions roles. You will not spend your time confined to a desk generating templated correspondence or consumed by administrative tasks. Your work will center on conducting impactful family tours, establishing trust with prospective parents, and facilitating a seamless, individualized admissions process. Concurrently, you will maintain a safe, compliant campus environment prepared to receive students and families with assurance.

Alpha is a K–12 private school that redefines childhood education. Through adaptive applications and expert Guides, we provide personalized, mastery-based learning that equips students for life beyond standardized assessments. In this capacity, you will embody that mission, bringing it to life for every family entering our facility.

If you are prepared to accelerate your professional growth while contributing to meaningful outcomes, we encourage your application.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting personalized, conversion-focused family tours that communicate Alpha's three core commitments and build confidence in our educational approach.
  • Implementing and managing proactive outreach strategies with prospective families to advance them through the enrollment pipeline.
  • Maintaining rigorous safety and safeguarding standards to ensure a demonstrably secure environment for students and families.
  • Supervising all facilities management functions, including preventative maintenance scheduling, vendor coordination, and repair monitoring.
  • Regularly analyzing performance data to optimize processes and enhance both operational effectiveness and enrollment results.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Operating within a narrow, repetitive administrative function or isolated departmental structure.
  • Functioning under restrictive, top-down oversight that limits your autonomy.
  • Managing bureaucratic obstacles that impede substantive progress.
  • Concentrating solely on documentation, removed from direct engagement with students and families.

Key responsibilities

Design and deliver a seamless, high-impact admissions experience while ensuring a secure, operationally sound campus environment that allows Alpha to expand and fulfill its commitments to families.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (no specific field required)
  • 1+ years experience in school admissions or enrollment
  • Experience working with children/students
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, initiative, and self-management.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be available to work in person in Palm Beach, FL; Miami, FL; Piedmont, CA; Santa Monica, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Roswell, GA or Raleigh, NC.
