Description

NOTE: This hybrid position requires in-person presence in San Francisco, Santa Barbara, or NYC.

Alpha School is transforming the landscape of education. By combining AI-powered learning, mastery-focused advancement, and outstanding guides, Alpha enables students to explore meaningful interests while reaching remarkable academic results.

In this position, you will guide every family's experience from initial inquiry through enrollment, ensuring each touchpoint embodies Alpha's precision, authenticity, and high standards. You will manage day-to-day correspondence, organize impactful admissions events, and keep applicant data precise to support sound decision-making.

If you excel in a dynamic, purpose-driven setting—where attention to detail, responsiveness, and structure directly influence family experience and enrollment success—this hybrid opportunity combines flexible remote work with consistent in-person participation at admissions events.

What you will be doing

Manage and respond to the admissions inbox, delivering prompt, considerate, and professional correspondence with prospective families (both virtually and face-to-face)

Handle and monitor digital admissions documentation with meticulous accuracy

Attend all admissions events, including information sessions, shadow days, and community gatherings, on campus and online

Work closely with Lead Guides to arrange student shadow day schedules

Maintain admissions platforms, records, and follow-up workflows with consistent accuracy

What you will NOT be doing

  • Develop admissions policy or render final admissions decisions
  • Function in a purely administrative capacity with no direct family engagement
  • Work within a slow-moving, overly bureaucratic system
  • Emphasize relationship development without rigorous operational follow-through

Key responsibilities

This position ensures that a frictionless, high-conversion admissions process supports robust enrollment and family satisfaction across Alpha's locations.

Candidate requirements

  • Experience in education, teaching, admissions, enrollment management, or a comparable area
  • 2+ years in customer-facing roles within admissions, enrollment, events, or similar functions
  • Solid administrative and organizational capabilities; dependable and detail-focused
  • Exceptional attention to detail and familiarity with maintaining accurate applicant records or CRM systems
  • Comfortable managing remote responsibilities alongside in-person campus duties
  • Capable of adapting swiftly and succeeding in a fast-moving, mission-driven culture
  • Authorized to work in the US and available to work on-site in San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; or NYC, NY
