Enrollment Specialist   $75,000 USD/year

Description

NOTE: This is a hybrid position requiring in-person presence in Austin, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, or NYC.

Alpha School is transforming the landscape of education. By combining AI-powered learning, mastery-based advancement, and outstanding guides, Alpha enables students to explore profound interests while attaining remarkable academic results.

In this position, you will guide each family's experience from initial outreach through enrollment, ensuring that every touchpoint embodies Alpha's precision, care, and academic rigor. You will manage day-to-day correspondence, organize impactful admissions experiences, and keep applicant data accurate to support sound decision-making.

If you excel in dynamic, purpose-driven settings—where responsiveness, structure, and accuracy have a direct effect on family experience and enrollment success—this hybrid role provides both remote flexibility and consistent in-person participation at admissions activities.

What you will be doing

Manage and own the admissions inbox, delivering prompt, considerate, and professional correspondence with prospective families (both virtually and face-to-face)

Handle and monitor digital admissions documentation with meticulous attention to accuracy

Attend all admissions events, including information sessions, shadow days, and community gatherings, in person and online

Work closely with Lead Guides to arrange student shadow day scheduling

Maintain admissions platforms, records, and follow-up activities with current and precise information

What you will NOT be doing

  • Shape admissions policy or render final admissions judgments
  • Function in an entirely administrative capacity with no direct family contact
  • Work within a slow-moving, heavily bureaucratic structure
  • Prioritize relationship development without disciplined execution and follow-through

Key responsibilities

This position ensures that a smooth, high-conversion admissions process fuels robust enrollment and family satisfaction across Alpha's campus locations.

Candidate requirements

  • Experience in education, teaching, admissions, enrollment management, or a comparable area
  • 2+ years in a customer-facing capacity within admissions, enrollment, events, or similar functions
  • Solid administrative and organizational capabilities; you demonstrate high reliability and precision
  • Strong attention to detail and proven experience managing accurate applicant records or CRM systems
  • Comfortable managing remote responsibilities alongside in-person campus duties
  • Able to adjust rapidly and succeed in a fast-moving, mission-focused environment
  • Authorized to work in the US and available to work on-site in Austin; TX, San Francisco; CA, Santa Barbara; CA or NYC; NY
