Description

NOTE: This is an onsite role that requires physical presence in San Francisco, Santa Barbara, or NYC.

Alpha School is transforming the possibilities of education. By combining AI-driven learning with mastery-based progression and exceptional guides, Alpha enables students to explore deep interests while reaching remarkable academic outcomes.

In this position, you will guide each family's experience from initial contact through enrollment, ensuring that every touchpoint embodies Alpha's clarity, warmth, and high standards. You will manage day-to-day communications, organize impactful admissions events, and keep applicant records precise to support sound decision-making.

If you excel in fast-moving, mission-focused settings—where responsiveness, structure, and accuracy directly influence family experience and enrollment success—this hybrid role provides remote flexibility combined with consistent in-person participation at admissions events.

What you will be doing

Manage and oversee the admissions inbox, delivering timely, considered, and professional responses to prospective families (both virtually and in person)

Handle and monitor digital admissions documentation with rigorous attention to detail

Attend all admissions events, including information sessions, shadow days, and community gatherings, on campus and online

Work closely with Lead Guides to arrange student shadow day schedules

Maintain admissions systems, records, and follow-up processes with accuracy and currency

What you will NOT be doing

  • Shape admissions strategy or render final admissions decisions
  • Function in an entirely administrative role without family-facing interaction
  • Work within a slow-moving, heavily bureaucratic structure
  • Concentrate solely on building relationships without disciplined execution and follow-through

Key responsibilities

This role ensures that a seamless, high-conversion admissions process drives robust enrollment and family satisfaction across Alpha's campuses.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • Strong administrative and organizational capabilities; you are dependable and detail-oriented
  • High attention to detail and proven experience maintaining accurate applicant records or CRM data
  • Comfortable managing remote work alongside in-person campus duties
  • Able to adapt swiftly and thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment
  • Authorized to work in the US and able to work in-person in San Francisco; CA, Santa Barbara; CA or NYC; NY

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience facilitating admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort operating in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
