Head of Enrollment Operations   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most enrollment positions exist to maximize numbers. This one is designed to maintain standards.

Alpha is constructing a school model that ranks among the most ambitious globally. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Students routinely progress ahead of national benchmarks, with measurable data to confirm it. Afternoons become opportunities for deeper engagement, self-directed work, and practical skill development. The model delivers results. But those results depend entirely on enrolling the right families.

This is your mandate.

You will control the complete enrollment experience for a campus, starting with initial interest and continuing through final onboarding. This is not a coordinating position. You are accountable for how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the model, and whether enrollment choices reflect genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate substantive dialogue, and advise against enrollment when circumstances warrant it. The objective is not filling seats. The objective is mutual fit.

We welcome applicants from elevated service backgrounds outside conventional education: independent schools, competitive admissions programs, premium hospitality, executive concierge, exclusive membership communities, or entrepreneurs who have directly overseen high-value client relationships from inception to completion. What counts is your capacity to execute a sophisticated, phased engagement with discernment, precision, and accountability.

If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and experiential quality shape brand identity, this position will resonate—only applied toward outcomes that genuinely transform lives.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are hiring across La Jolla, Los Angeles, Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, South Bay. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Controlling the entire enrollment experience for prospective families, beginning with initial outreach and concluding with onboarding.
  • Facilitating fit-assessment dialogues to confirm alignment before introducing solutions or advising on progression.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across varied enrollment phases, maintaining transparent tracking and timely follow-through.
  • Delivering campus visits, observation experiences, and enrollment discussions that transparently convey results, standards, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Ensuring precision in CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and consistent service delivery.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Applying volume-driven or aggressive sales methodologies.
  • Accepting families who lack alignment merely to satisfy enrollment targets.
  • Supervising substantial teams or navigating complex hierarchical structures.
  • Distributing responsibility for the family experience across multiple personnel.
  • Operating remotely. This position requires campus presence by structure.

Key responsibilities

Direct and deliver a trust-centered, selectivity-driven enrollment process that secures aligned families while safeguarding the credibility and effectiveness of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing elevated, individualized service within settings where service excellence directly influences brand standing (education, premium hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership, or owner-led services).
  • Proven ownership of a full-cycle client, admissions, or enrollment pathway from initial engagement through final onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently managing 20+ client, guest, or family accounts at varying stages, supported by a structured tracking and prioritization method.
  • Capacity to supply specific instances of advisory decision-making, including occasions where you counseled against your offering when alignment was absent.
  • Professional correspondence experience with C-suite executives, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these regions: La Jolla, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Marin County, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; or South Bay, CA.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience within competitive independent school admissions or selective program intake.
  • Background in premium hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level concierge functions.
  • Experience designing or optimizing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service benchmarks.
  • Confidence applying data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion alignment, not merely throughput.
