Enrollment Operations Director   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most enrollment positions focus on driving numbers. This role is designed to uphold quality.

Alpha is constructing one of the most forward-thinking school frameworks globally. Our locations integrate demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Students routinely advance beyond national averages, with measurable results to validate this. Afternoon hours are dedicated to deeper exploration, autonomy, and practical competency development. The approach is effective. However, success depends entirely on selecting compatible families.

This is your entry point.

You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus, beginning with initial contact and extending through final onboarding. This is not a role with fragmented ownership. You determine how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the educational philosophy, and whether their enrollment decisions reflect genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate informed discussions, and advise against enrollment when circumstances warrant it. The objective is not filling seats. The objective is strategic fit.

We welcome applicants from elevated service sectors outside conventional education: independent schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive coordination, exclusive membership organizations, or entrepreneurs who have directly overseen premium client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capability to execute a sophisticated, phased engagement with discernment, transparency, and accountability.

If your professional background centers on delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and client experience shape brand identity, this position will resonate with you—simply directed toward work that genuinely transforms lives.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are recruiting in La Jolla, Los Angeles, Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, South Bay. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment pathway for prospective families, spanning initial inquiry to final onboarding.
  • Facilitating discovery conversations to evaluate alignment prior to proposing solutions or suggesting subsequent actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across various enrollment phases, maintaining precise tracking of progress and scheduled touchpoints.
  • Orchestrating campus visits, student shadow days, and decision-making dialogues that transparently convey outcomes, standards, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation in CRM and student information systems (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, priority setting, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methodologies.
  • Admitting families who lack proper alignment merely to satisfy enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing large teams or navigating complex hierarchical approval structures.
  • Transferring responsibility for the family journey to multiple staff members.
  • Operating remotely. This position requires campus presence by necessity.

Key responsibilities

Direct and deliver a high-integrity, selective enrollment process that secures well-matched families while safeguarding the credibility and effectiveness of the Alpha educational model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences organizational reputation (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or owner-operated services).
  • Proven accountability for a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process spanning initial engagement through final onboarding.
  • Track record of concurrently managing 20+ client, guest, or family accounts at varying stages, supported by a reliable system for monitoring and prioritization.
  • Capacity to present specific instances of advisory decision-making, including occasions when you recommended against your offering because it did not suit the client's needs.
  • Professional written correspondence experience with senior leadership, affluent individuals, or discerning clients.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: La Jolla, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Marin County, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; or South Bay, CA.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Background in competitive private school admissions or selective program enrollment.
  • Professional history in luxury hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level coordination roles.
  • Experience developing or optimizing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion alignment, not merely velocity.
