Enrollment Operations Director   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most enrollment positions are designed to drive numbers. This one is built to uphold standards.

Alpha is creating one of the most rigorous school models globally. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and personnel. Students routinely advance faster than national averages, supported by measurable outcomes. Afternoons are dedicated to deeper learning, autonomy, and practical competency development. The model delivers results. But success depends on enrolling the right families.

This is your responsibility.

You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus, from initial inquiry to final onboarding. This is not a role where tasks are handed off. You are accountable for the family experience, the clarity with which they grasp the model, and whether enrollment choices are made with sound reasoning. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when warranted. Maximum enrollment is not the objective. Alignment is.

We welcome applicants from high-caliber service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective independent schools, competitive programs, upscale hospitality, executive assistance, premium membership operations, or entrepreneurial ventures where you have directly overseen sophisticated client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a high-touch, phased process with discernment, precision, and accountability.

If your career has been defined by delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and experience quality shape the brand, this role will resonate—applied to work that genuinely improves lives.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are currently hiring in Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, Orange County, Roswell, Chicago, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Dallas-Fort Worth. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Taking full ownership of the enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial outreach to completed onboarding.
  • Facilitating diagnostic conversations to evaluate compatibility before introducing offerings or advising on next actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across various enrollment phases, maintaining clear tracking of progress and follow-up requirements.
  • Directing campus visits, student shadow days, and decision-stage discussions that articulate results, expectations, and the intended audience for the model.
  • Ensuring precise CRM and enrollment data accuracy (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and sustained service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deploying transactional or coercive sales methods.
  • Accepting families who are poorly suited merely to reach enrollment targets.
  • Leading a sizable team or navigating complex approval hierarchies.
  • Distributing ownership of the family relationship across multiple personnel.
  • Working from a remote location. This position is campus-based by necessity.

Key responsibilities

Design and deliver a high-trust, selective enrollment process that secures the right families while safeguarding the credibility and effectiveness of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences brand standing (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or owner-operated services).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment cycle from initial contact to onboarding completion.
  • Experience managing 20+ client, guest, or family accounts concurrently at varying stages, supported by a structured tracking and prioritization approach.
  • Capacity to present specific examples of advisory decision-making, including instances where you recommended against your product or service due to poor fit.
  • Professional written communication proficiency with senior executives, high-net-worth individuals, or discerning clients.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; Orange County, CA; Roswell, GA; Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; or Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive private school admissions or selective program recruitment.
  • Background in upscale hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level support functions.
  • Experience developing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service benchmarks.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion quality, not merely velocity.
