Director of Family Experience and Enrollment   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most enrollment positions prioritize throughput. This one is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. Our campuses integrate rigorous academics, technology-enabled learning, and elevated expectations for both students and staff. Students routinely exceed national learning benchmarks, supported by measurable results. Afternoons are structured for depth, autonomy, and practical skill development. This approach delivers. But success depends entirely on enrolling the right families.

This is your mandate.

You will be accountable for the complete enrollment experience at a campus—from initial inquiry to final onboarding. This is not a role that passes responsibility elsewhere. You own how families perceive us, how well they grasp the model, and whether enrollment decisions reflect genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate informed conversations, and advocate for declining applicants when appropriate. The objective is not volume maximization. The objective is fit.

We welcome applicants from premium service backgrounds beyond conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, premium membership communities, or entrepreneurs who have directly overseen high-value client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a high-touch, multi-phase process with sound judgment, transparency, and operational rigor.

If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where trust, professionalism, and experience quality define brand identity, this role will be recognizable—just directed toward something that genuinely transforms outcomes.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-campus position. We are recruiting in La Jolla, Los Angeles, Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, South Bay. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Taking full ownership of the enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial outreach through completed onboarding.
  • Facilitating consultative discussions to evaluate alignment before proposing solutions or advancing to subsequent stages.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across varying enrollment phases, with organized tracking of status and follow-up actions.
  • Delivering campus tours, student shadow experiences, and enrollment conversations that articulate outcomes, standards, and ideal candidate profiles with precision.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation in CRM and student information systems (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and consistent service delivery.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Applying transactional or aggressive conversion techniques.
  • Accepting families who lack alignment merely to satisfy enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or navigating multi-layered approval hierarchies.
  • Distributing accountability for the family experience across multiple departments.
  • Operating remotely. This position requires on-campus presence by design.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a trust-based, selectively curated enrollment process that successfully enrolls aligned families while safeguarding the integrity and academic performance standards of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where the caliber of service directly influences brand standing (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or owner-operated businesses).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial engagement through onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently managing 20+ client, guest, or family accounts at distinct stages, supported by a robust tracking and prioritization methodology.
  • Capacity to supply specific examples of advisory decision-making, including instances where you recommended against your offering when alignment was absent.
  • Professional-level written communication with senior leaders, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: La Jolla, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Marin County, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; or South Bay, CA.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in selective independent school admissions or enrollment for competitive academic programs.
  • Background in luxury hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level administrative support.
  • Experience designing or enhancing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service quality frameworks.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to optimize conversion quality, not merely velocity.
