Youth Entrepreneurship Coach

Description

  • On-site role in Austin, TX (relocation assistance available)
  • $150,000 annual salary, paid weekly. Health benefits begin on day one.

The greatest support you can offer a teenage founder is the refusal to accept mediocrity. You understand that maintaining high standards isn't about applying pressure—it's about demonstrating your belief in their capacity to succeed. If this resonates with you, continue reading.

You'll work with high school students who are building legitimate companies with $1M revenue potential. These aren't classroom exercises or mock scenarios. Approximately 60-65% of your time will be dedicated to one-on-one coaching: pinpointing where each founder faces obstacles, determining the most impactful next step, and ensuring accountability to a concrete action plan. The remaining 35-40% divides between overseeing academic performance and facilitating workshops designed to deliver practical skills rather than passive information.

This role is not classroom teaching. You are accountable for holistic student outcomes: venture development, academic performance, and personal maturation simultaneously. You'll leverage dashboards, business progress reports, and academic metrics to coach based on data rather than guesswork. When a student's grades begin to decline? You step in before the situation escalates. When a venture loses momentum? You identify the actual bottleneck, not the easy answer.

You'll begin by understanding each student's business, identifying their capabilities, and recognizing their sticking points. Within several months, you become the advisor whose guidance they genuinely respect, because you've operated in the real world yourself. The payoff is seeing a 16-year-old arrive with a concept and depart with an operational business, the self-discipline to sustain it, and academic results that preserve all future options.

If you've been seeking a position where your operational background directly influences emerging entrepreneurs, submit your application now. If you require a standardized syllabus, predictable lesson plans, or an environment where effort alone suffices, this isn't the right fit.

What you will be doing

  • Providing one-on-one coaching to student entrepreneurs on strategic decisions, execution, and scaling—approximately two-thirds of your weekly hours
  • Analyzing student dashboards, venture updates, and academic records to assess progress and determine priority actions
  • Tracking academic results and stepping in proactively when attention or organizational skills begin to falter
  • Designing and delivering workshops that produce tangible, applied learning outcomes
  • Facilitating stand-ups, reflection sessions, and group conversations that reinforce personal accountability to stated objectives

What you will NOT be doing

  • Teaching from a fixed curriculum or delivering traditional lectures (you guide applied learning, not conventional instruction)
  • Offering generic mentorship or inspirational speeches without concrete action planning and follow-up
  • Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling, documentation, or enrollment coordination
  • Attending faculty meetings or dealing with institutional red tape (your focus remains entirely on student impact)

Key responsibilities

Guide student founders to develop ventures with $1M revenue potential while simultaneously maintaining strong academic performance.

  • At least 1 year working directly with young people (students, junior professionals, or youth program participants) on initiatives, educational objectives, or entrepreneurial projects
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Personal experience founding, co-founding, or operating a startup or early-stage venture

  • Experience in K-12 education, EdTech, or programs that integrate academics with practical application (such as accelerators, project-based curricula, or entrepreneurship initiatives)
