Description

Success in this role depends on your ability to establish trust with a parent within the opening moments of a call. You will thrive here if you are motivated by outreach, disciplined about follow-up, and comfortable presenting an alternative learning model without depending on scripts. If you tend to avoid phone-based work or prefer positions without measurable outcomes, this opportunity is not for you.

Unbound Academy operates as a tuition-free, virtual public charter school that delivers education through a distinct structure. Students complete their core academic work in a condensed time frame using AI-supported tools, then dedicate the remainder of their day to practical skill development through enrichment and project-based activities. You will serve as the primary contact for families considering this model.

Your weekly responsibilities will include responding promptly to new inquiries, supporting families through the admissions pathway, and advancing them from curiosity to completed enrollment. You will also attend local events to introduce Unbound Academy, generate interest, and expand your lead pipeline. During quieter enrollment periods, you will support school operations while remaining prepared for incoming activity.

If you are looking for a position where your communication quality, follow-through discipline, and personal accountability shape enrollment outcomes, we would like to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Reaching out to new inbound leads within 24 hours to begin the admissions conversation by phone
  • Presenting Unbound Academy's virtual education model and enrollment requirements using straightforward, accessible language
  • Sustaining regular follow-up to guide families from inquiry through application and into enrollment
  • Recording every interaction in a CRM system with complete notes, defined next actions, and updated pipeline status
  • Planning and facilitating local recruitment events in Arizona or Texas to introduce the school and capture prospective leads

What you will NOT be doing

  • Allowing new inbound leads to sit unaddressed while you focus on administrative tasks
  • Relying on scripted language or functioning in a high-volume call center style
  • Attending outreach events without taking an active role in presenting or lead generation
  • Dedicating most of your time to back-office responsibilities during periods of active enrollment demand

Key responsibilities

Convert expressions of family interest into qualified, well-informed applicants who successfully complete enrollment at Unbound Academy.

Candidate requirements

  • Located in Arizona and available to work in a hybrid capacity
  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service or a comparable customer-facing position
  • Prior experience working with families or children (e.g., schools, tutoring, camps, childcare, or related settings)
  • Confident making regular phone calls and walking families through processes with multiple stages
  • Strong spoken communication skills and the ability to establish trust rapidly
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms or digital tools for managing and tracking leads

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions, enrollment coordination, inside sales, or lead qualification
  • Experience organizing or delivering presentations at community outreach events or programs
  • Academic background or coursework in communications, education, or a closely related discipline
