Admissions Coordinator   $40,000 USD/year

Description

Success in this position depends on your ability to establish trust with a parent within the opening moments of a conversation. This role suits individuals who thrive on outreach, maintain disciplined follow-up, and can articulate a new learning model confidently without reading from scripts. If phone-based communication drains you or you prefer work without measurable performance indicators, this opportunity is not suitable.

Unbound Academy operates as a virtual, tuition-free public charter school that delivers education through a distinctive model. Core academic subjects are completed during a concentrated time block with AI-supported instruction, after which students dedicate their remaining day to building practical skills via projects and enrichment activities. Your function is to serve as the first substantial touchpoint for families investigating this educational choice.

Your weekly activities will include rapid responses to incoming inquiries, shepherding families through admissions procedures, and advancing them from curiosity to completed enrollment. You will also attend local community events on behalf of Unbound Academy to cultivate new leads and raise visibility in your region. During slower enrollment periods, you will support operational needs while remaining prepared for the next admission cycle.

If you seek a position where your communication discipline, reliability, and accountability directly influence student enrollment outcomes, we are eager to speak with you.

What you will be doing

  • Reaching out to new incoming leads within 24 hours and beginning admissions discussions by phone
  • Describing Unbound Academy's virtual educational model and enrollment procedures in straightforward, accessible terms
  • Maintaining disciplined follow-up to advance families from inquiry through application to completed enrollment
  • Recording all engagement in a CRM with precise notes, follow-up actions, and pipeline status
  • Planning and facilitating local recruitment activities in Texas or Arizona to introduce the school and collect new prospect information

What you will NOT be doing

  • Allowing incoming leads to sit unaddressed while completing administrative tasks
  • Reading from fixed scripts or functioning like a high-throughput call center
  • Participating in events as an observer rather than actively presenting or capturing leads
  • Devoting most of your time to back-office responsibilities when enrollment activity is high

Key responsibilities

Transform new family interest into qualified, well-informed applicants who successfully enroll at Unbound Academy.

Candidate requirements

  • Located in Arizona and available to work in a hybrid capacity
  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service or another role involving direct customer interaction
  • Background working with children or families (such as schools, camps, childcare, tutoring, or comparable settings)
  • Comfortable initiating frequent phone calls and steering families through multi-stage processes
  • Effective verbal communication abilities with the capacity to establish trust rapidly
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems or digital lead management tools

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions, enrollment, inside sales, or lead qualification functions
  • Experience organizing or delivering presentations at community events or outreach initiatives
  • Academic study or professional experience in communications, education, or a related discipline
