Admissions Coordinator   $40,000 USD/year

Description

Success in this role depends on your ability to establish trust with parents within the opening moments of a conversation. You will thrive here if you find energy in outreach, maintain consistency in follow-up, and can clearly articulate a new approach to education without depending on scripted language. If phone-based communication drains you or you prefer environments without transparent performance indicators, this opportunity will not align with your strengths.

Unbound Academy operates as a virtual, tuition-free public charter school that serves students through a distinctive educational model. Students work through their core academics in a concentrated time block using AI-supported platforms, then dedicate the remainder of their day to building practical skills through project-based work and enrichment activities. You will serve as the first substantive connection for families considering this alternative.

Your week will center on responding promptly to incoming inquiries, walking families through admissions requirements, and advancing them from curiosity to completed enrollment. You will also attend and present at community events in your region to cultivate new prospects and raise awareness about Unbound Academy. During quieter enrollment periods, you will support general school operations while remaining prepared for the next admissions wave.

If you are looking for a position where your communication skills, follow-through, and personal accountability directly shape student enrollment outcomes, we should talk.

What you will be doing

  • Reaching out to new inbound prospects within 24 hours to begin admissions discussions by phone
  • Describing Unbound Academy's virtual educational structure and enrollment requirements using straightforward, accessible language
  • Maintaining steady follow-up to guide families from initial inquiry through application completion and enrollment
  • Recording all engagement in a CRM system with detailed notes, upcoming actions, and pipeline status
  • Planning and facilitating local outreach events in Texas or Arizona to introduce the school and collect new leads

What you will NOT be doing

  • Allowing new inbound inquiries to sit unattended while you focus on administrative tasks
  • Relying on rigid call scripts or functioning like a high-throughput call center operator
  • Showing up to events without actively presenting or engaging prospective families
  • Dedicating most of your time to internal operations when enrollment activity is high

Key responsibilities

Transform family interest into qualified, well-informed applicants who successfully enroll at Unbound Academy.

Candidate requirements

  • Located in Arizona with availability for a hybrid work arrangement
  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service or similar customer-facing capacity
  • Background working with children or families (examples include schools, camps, childcare, tutoring, or related settings)
  • At ease with making regular phone calls and supporting families through multi-step procedures
  • Effective verbal communication abilities with a talent for building trust rapidly
  • Working knowledge of CRM platforms or digital lead management systems

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions, enrollment, inside sales, or lead qualification functions
  • Experience organizing or leading presentations at community events or outreach initiatives
  • Academic coursework or professional background in communications, education, or a related discipline
