Description

Success in this role depends on your ability to establish trust with a parent within the opening moments of a conversation. This position suits individuals who draw energy from outreach activities, maintain consistency in follow-up, and can articulate a non-traditional learning model without depending on scripted dialogue. If phone-based communication feels uncomfortable or you prefer environments without measurable performance indicators, this role will not align with your strengths.

Unbound Academy operates as a virtual, tuition-free public charter school that serves students through a distinctive educational model. Students complete their core academic requirements in a concentrated time block using AI-supported learning, then dedicate the remainder of their day to building practical skills through projects and enrichment activities. You will serve as the initial meaningful connection for families considering this educational alternative.

Your weekly responsibilities include responding promptly to incoming inquiries, shepherding families through each stage of the admissions process, and advancing them from curiosity to completed enrollment. You will also attend local events on behalf of Unbound Academy to cultivate new leads and increase community awareness. During slower enrollment periods, you will support general school operations while remaining prepared for the next admission cycle.

If you seek a position where your communication skills, reliability, and sense of ownership directly shape student enrollment outcomes, we would like to speak with you.

What you will be doing

  • Reaching out to new inbound leads within a 24-hour window and beginning admissions discussions via phone
  • Describing Unbound Academy's virtual structure and enrollment procedures using straightforward, accessible language
  • Maintaining steady follow-up to advance families from inquiry through application to final enrollment
  • Logging all interactions in a CRM system with precise notes, defined next steps, and updated pipeline status
  • Planning and facilitating local recruitment events in Texas or Arizona to introduce the school and collect new leads

What you will NOT be doing

  • Allowing inbound leads to remain unaddressed while completing administrative tasks
  • Relying on rigid scripts or functioning like a high-volume call center representative
  • Participating in events without actively presenting information or capturing new leads
  • Dedicating most of your time to back-office duties when enrollment activity is high

Key responsibilities

Transform family interest into qualified, well-informed applicants who successfully complete enrollment at Unbound Academy.

Candidate requirements

  • Located in Arizona with availability to work in a hybrid capacity
  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service or another role involving direct customer interaction
  • Background working with children or families (such as schools, camps, childcare, tutoring, or comparable settings)
  • At ease making regular phone calls and leading families through processes with multiple steps
  • Strong spoken communication skills and the capacity to establish trust rapidly
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems or digital tools for tracking leads

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions, enrollment, inside sales, or lead qualification positions
  • Experience organizing or delivering presentations at community events or outreach initiatives
  • Academic coursework or professional background in communications, education, or a related discipline
