This position is designed for someone who understands that coaching is fundamentally different from teaching. You will not create lesson plans, assign grades, or deliver content. Your work centers on what defines real coaching: building accountability, establishing trust, and helping individuals exceed the limits they believe are fixed.
Texas Sports Academy operates a virtual program in which student-athletes progress through self-directed academic applications while simultaneously developing life skills and continuing their athletic training. Each week, your assigned cohort participates in virtual one-on-one and small-group sessions led by you. You determine priorities, maintain accountability, and identify disengagement early. The quality of your sessions depends entirely on your ability to build presence and trust, not on the material displayed on screen.
The role comprises three core elements: coaching sessions that sustain student momentum, proactive intervention informed by progress data when gaps appear, and facilitation of structured virtual workshops focused on mindset and life skills. You will work remotely from Texas and attend quarterly in-person events hosted in Austin, Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio.
If you have experience coaching or mentoring students or athletes and found the most rewarding moments came when someone broke through a self-imposed ceiling, submit your application now.
Ensure virtual student-athletes remain engaged, continue progressing academically, and develop the life skills necessary for success beyond academic settings.
