In this position, you will guide each family's experience from initial inquiry through final enrollment, ensuring that every touchpoint embodies Alpha's precision, authenticity, and high standards. Your work will include managing day-to-day communications, organizing impactful admissions events, and keeping applicant data accurate to support informed decision-making.
If you excel in dynamic, purpose-driven settings—where attention to detail, responsiveness, and coordination directly influence family experience and enrollment success—this hybrid role combines remote flexibility with consistent in-person participation at key admissions activities.
What you will be doing
Manage and respond to the admissions inbox, delivering prompt, thoughtful, and polished communication to prospective families (both virtually and face-to-face)
Handle and monitor digital admissions documentation with rigorous attention to accuracy
Attend and support all admissions events, including information sessions, shadow days, and community gatherings, whether on campus or virtual
- Create admissions policies or make ultimate enrollment decisions
- Function exclusively in back-office roles without direct family contact
- Work within a rigid, slow-moving institutional framework
- Prioritize relationship-building alone without disciplined execution and follow-through
Key responsibilities

Candidate requirements
- 2+ years of customer-facing experience
- Strong administrative and organizational skills; you are highly reliable and detail-oriented
- High attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate applicant records or CRM data
- Comfortable balancing remote work with in-person campus responsibilities
- Able to adapt quickly and thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment
- Authorized to work in the US and able to work in-person in NYC; NY or willing to relocate
Nice to have
- Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
- Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
- Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
