Description

NOTE: This position is onsite and requires you to be physically present in NYC.

Alpha School is transforming the landscape of education. Using AI-powered learning, mastery-based advancement, and outstanding guides, Alpha enables students to explore profound interests while delivering remarkable academic results.

In this position, you'll guide each family's experience from initial outreach through enrollment, making sure every touchpoint embodies Alpha's precision, authenticity, and excellence. You'll manage day-to-day correspondence, organize impactful admissions experiences, and keep precise applicant data that supports sound decision-making.

If you excel in a dynamic, purpose-driven setting—where speed, structure, and accuracy directly shape family experience and enrollment success—this hybrid role provides both remote flexibility and consistent in-person participation at admissions activities.

What you will be doing

Take ownership of the admissions inbox, delivering prompt, considerate, and polished responses to prospective families (both virtually and face-to-face)

Handle and monitor digital admissions documentation with meticulous care and precision

Engage in all admissions events, including information sessions, shadow visits, and community gatherings, across campus and virtual settings

What you will NOT be doing

  • Shape admissions policy or determine final acceptance outcomes
  • Function exclusively in a back-office capacity without direct family engagement
  • Navigate a sluggish, overly procedural institutional setting
  • Prioritize rapport-building alone without robust operational execution

Key responsibilities

This position ensures that a smooth, high-conversion admissions process fuels robust enrollment and family confidence across all Alpha campuses.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • Proven administrative and organizational capabilities; you deliver consistent, detail-focused results
  • Sharp attention to detail and demonstrated success maintaining precise applicant records or CRM systems
  • Comfortable managing a blend of remote responsibilities and in-person campus duties
  • Able to pivot quickly and flourish in a fast-moving, mission-centered culture
  • Authorized to work in the US and available to work in-person in NYC; based in NY or willing to relocate

Nice to have

  • Experience in education, enrollment operations, or school administration
  • Track record supporting admissions programming or intensive onboarding workflows
  • Familiarity with rapidly evolving, technology-driven work environments
