Description

If you're the one who draws people in, keeps track of every face and name, and builds connections that last well beyond the first conversation, this opportunity is for you.

Alpha is reimagining education from the ground up. Students complete their core academic requirements in just two hours daily through AI-powered learning, freeing them to develop what truly matters: critical thinking, communication, entrepreneurship, and hands-on execution. Families don't select Alpha because of advertising. They select it because they encounter an educational experience unavailable elsewhere. Your role is to deliver that encounter.

You'll cultivate and expand the community that attracts outstanding families to Alpha and empowers them to choose us confidently over every competing option. You'll take charge of the relational dimension of admissions, from a family's first event onward through final enrollment, designing experiences that establish trust well ahead of any commitment. You'll orchestrate events, forge lasting relationships, personally guide interested families, and convert admitted students into enrolled ones. This position suits someone who has successfully built communities in the past, excels in social settings, and recognizes that relationships are the foundation of meaningful decisions. You'll partner directly with the Director of Admissions, Heads of School, and Admissions Associate, while contributing to the strategic framework that will drive Alpha's expansion.

If you've created communities that people genuinely aspired to join, and you're energized by the prospect of reshaping education, we want to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Plan and deliver high-impact community events, including information sessions, parent dinners, campus tours, school fairs, accepted-family gatherings, and partner meetups.
  • Develop strong relationships with prospective families, supporting them from first inquiry through the application process and sustaining consistent, personalized communication.
  • Take ownership of high school enrollment yield by crafting experiences and follow-up strategies that turn accepted families into enrolled families.
  • Cultivate and energize a dynamic community of current parents, prospective families, and ambassadors who enhance Alpha's reputation and referral pipeline.
  • Keep CRM records accurate and work closely with the Admissions Associate and school leadership to guarantee a seamless experience for every family.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing high-pressure sales tactics or persuading families who aren't a good match.
  • Handling application processing, interview scheduling, or admissions decisions.
  • Developing marketing strategy or brand messaging from the ground up.
  • Managing a team rather than personally nurturing relationships and executing events.
  • Working remotely. Community building happens in person.

Key responsibilities

Establish a vibrant community that reliably attracts exceptional families and converts admitted students into enrolled students, driving consistent admissions growth for Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • Documented experience building and scaling an in-person community from the ground up.
  • Proven track record planning and executing events from initial concept through post-event follow-up.
  • Experience selling to or influencing thoughtful, high-consideration buyers through relationship building rather than transactional sales.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect genuinely with sophisticated families.
  • Excellent organizational skills with disciplined CRM usage and reliable follow-through.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable building structure in ambiguous environments.
  • Passion for Alpha's mission and conviction that AI is reshaping the future of education.
  • Based in New York City or willing to relocate.
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in private school admissions, alumni relations, nonprofit fundraising, hospitality, or experiential events.
  • An existing network within the NYC education or parent community.
  • An active social media or content presence that has led to tangible community building.
