You will lead global finance operations supported by a team of Senior Accountants, maintaining close involvement to verify the quality and accuracy of deliverables. Your role includes reviewing invoices, payments, reconciliations, allocations, and similar finance outputs; identifying the underlying accounting or procedural issues when errors occur; and creating written guidance that ensures those problems do not recur. When critical deadlines or complex finance challenges arise, you will remain equipped to execute the work directly.

We automate repetitive coordination and actively seek opportunities where AI and automation can replace manual effort, allowing finance professionals to concentrate on judgment, quality, and continuous improvement. You will engage with sophisticated global finance operations while preserving the technical proficiency that many managers relinquish as they climb the ladder. What you will be doing
- Lead daily finance operations through Senior Accountants, continually prioritizing tasks according to deadlines, business significance, interdependencies, and financial exposure.
- Review finance dashboards and completed deliverables to confirm that bills, invoices, payments, bank transactions, reconciliations, control accounts, revenue, and expense allocations are precise and up to date.
- Apply your accounting knowledge to diagnose quality breakdowns, determining whether root causes stem from incorrect data, system settings, accounting methodology, or process implementation.
- Develop evidence-driven coaching that clarifies what failed, how to remedy it, and how to avoid repetition.
- Recognize opportunities to deploy AI, LLMs, and automation to remove manual tasks and enhance the speed and precision of finance operations.
What you will NOT be doing
- Devoting your week to status-update chasing, routine task delegation, or participation in project-management meetings.
- Handling every transaction yourself because building a capable accounting team is more difficult than doing the work alone.
- Delivering vague performance feedback detached from specific invoices, payments, reconciliations, reports, or other finance work products.
- Tolerating repeated errors and inefficient manual workflows as inevitable features of finance work.
Key responsibilities
Develop a high-performing finance operations team that reliably delivers accurate, timely finance outputs while continuously advancing quality and eliminating unnecessary manual effort.
Candidate requirements
- A degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A recognized professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Experience on at least five audits involving a Big 4 accounting firm, either as the auditor or the client.
- Accounting or finance experience within an organization with at least $100M USD in revenue.
- People-management experience with direct responsibility for finance or accounting professionals.
- Hands-on experience across AP, AR/customer invoicing, bank and control-account reconciliations, and revenue and spend allocation.
- Experience prioritizing and allocating operational finance work across a team while managing deadlines and resolving blockers.
- Experience incorporating AI or LLM tools into at least one recurring work process, beyond ad hoc prompting, with a clear impact on efficiency or accuracy.
- Ability to work US business hours.
Nice to have
- Experience designing or building finance workflow automations using tools such as n8n, Lovable, Claude Code, or similar platforms.
- Experience managing finance operations across multiple business lines or international entities.
