Description

NOTICE: This recruiting role is unlike anything you've encountered before.

Crossover is seeking a university recruiter to identify and secure the next cohort of 50 Alpha AI Engineer Interns: top-performing undergraduates from Stanford and MIT, prepared to dedicate their summer to building with generative AI. Your mission? Assemble that full class. Quickly.

You'll own the complete recruitment process: from cultivating relationships and coordinating event details to executing high-volume candidate outreach and driving conversions. You'll operate with the agility of a startup founder, the instinct of a talent scout, and the precision of a sales executive. This isn't about fancy networking dinners or branded merchandise displays. It's about delivering outcomes: 50 students, summer 2026, Austin, TX. You'll receive complete support — independence, resources, defined objectives — with full accountability.

This position is designed for someone who embraces difficulty, takes ownership of their results, and knows precisely how to identify and recruit elite CS talent.

The fundamentals:

  • $75,000/year + complete travel expenses covered
  • Full-time position with benefits
  • US-based (with significant travel to MIT and Stanford)

You may be our perfect fit if you:

  • Possess magnetic energy that captures attention — and drives student attendance
  • Approach logistics as strategic planning and excel at perfecting every element
  • Maintain composure under pressure and adapt seamlessly when circumstances change unexpectedly
  • Understand how to command attention, advance a pipeline, and achieve ambitious targets
  • Embrace the rhythm of campus environments and the work of converting curiosity into commitment
  • Excel in constant travel — packed and ready, schedule booked, consistently anticipating next moves

If you're an alum of Stanford or MIT — or you've mastered recruitment on those campuses — this represents the most impactful recruiting opportunity available.

What you will be doing

  • Developing and overseeing a high-yield recruitment pipeline of Stanford and MIT CS/ML students from first contact through accepted offers
  • Managing all logistical aspects of on-campus recruitment activities — including venue reservations, catering arrangements, and promotional materials
  • Making frequent trips to MIT and Stanford to conduct in-person sessions, information presentations, and dynamic engagement with students and faculty
  • Executing a structured, data-driven recruitment effort: tracking outreach numbers, event turnout, assessment progression, and final enrollment rates
  • Serving as the primary campus representative for the Alpha AI Engineer internship — accessible, well-organized, and trustworthy

What you will NOT be doing

  • Depending on employer branding or HR teams to generate interest — you control the entire process from start to finish
  • Making occasional campus visits or conducting "soft" recruitment — this requires intensive, continuous effort every week
  • Delegating logistics to support staff — you'll secure venues, arrange shipments, and coordinate catering yourself
  • Maintaining traditional business hours — prime engagement windows align with student availability: evenings, weekends, exam periods

Key responsibilities

Recruit and confirm a complete, exceptional Alpha AI Engineer internship cohort (50+ accepted students) from Stanford and MIT by May 2026 using targeted outreach, campus events, and systematic application pipeline oversight.

Candidate requirements

  • 1+ years of university recruiting, admissions work, or event-driven outreach experience
  • Documented track record in high-volume outreach and student mobilization
  • Confirmed capability to handle sophisticated event logistics autonomously
  • Strong communicator, exceptionally organized, independent operator
  • US-based with capacity to travel regularly to Stanford and MIT

Nice to have

  • Graduate of Stanford or MIT
  • Prior experience recruiting for CS/ML or similar technical talent pools
  • History in sales, campaign management, or startup operations
