Senior Account Executive   $400,000 USD/year

Description

You don't refine an established category. You create it. This role is designed for an enterprise sales professional who can enter an undefined market, engage senior HR and Total Rewards executives, and convert an unfamiliar concept into committed employer partnerships. If you rely on warm inbound leads, predictable budgets, or proven playbooks, this opportunity won't fit.

We are building a workplace-giving channel designed to fund scholarships in advance of a January 2027 launch. The offering is distinctive: employers are not required to allocate budget. The structure leverages a federal tax credit, meaning the conversation is not about competing for HR technology dollars. Instead, it centers on helping large organizations recognize a zero-cost opportunity to advance education through payroll giving.

Your time will focus on enterprise prospecting, discovery conversations, multi-stakeholder engagement, and deal closure. You will interact with leaders across HR, Total Rewards, Benefits, CSR, Finance, and Legal. You will communicate tax-credit mechanics with precision, address concerns related to ERISA and state compliance, and use buyer input to strengthen the go-to-market strategy. In time, your efforts will establish the foundation for a repeatable enterprise sales motion.

This is a remote position based in the US with travel requirements. If you have a history of closing complex enterprise transactions, thrive on building demand from nothing, and want your sales contributions linked to large-scale scholarship support, we encourage you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Develop outbound enterprise pipeline targeting HR, Total Rewards, Benefits, CSR, Finance, and Legal decision-makers at large organizations
  • Conduct discovery sessions that identify buyer needs, decision-making structures, objections, and implementation timelines
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles to close a federal tax-credit-funded workplace-giving solution
  • Address inquiries related to tax credits, ERISA compliance, state eligibility, legal approvals, finance reviews, and employer launch processes
  • Gather insights from buyer interactions to improve ideal customer profiles, refine messaging, and evolve the go-to-market approach

What you will NOT be doing

  • Relying on inbound inquiries or an established demand generation system to populate your pipeline
  • Positioning a conventional HR technology product competing for existing employer budgets
  • Overseeing employee enrollment, payroll integration, or ongoing account management after launch
  • Executing brand marketing initiatives or passing qualified leads to another team member for closure
  • Leading a sales organization rather than directly sourcing and closing enterprise deals

Key responsibilities

Build a qualified pipeline of large employers committed to launching our payroll-giving program in time for the January 2027 rollout.

Candidate requirements

  • 7+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience
  • Documented success selling to HR, Total Rewards, Benefits, CSR, or workplace-giving decision-makers
  • Track record of achieving complex enterprise quotas with multi-stakeholder buying committees
  • Proven outbound prospecting capabilities and a history of generating pipeline from scratch
  • Capacity to communicate complex tax-credit-funded programs clearly to executive, legal, and finance stakeholders
  • Executive presence and consultative communication skills with senior enterprise buyers
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Willingness to work remotely and travel when required

Nice to have

  • Background selling workplace giving, employee benefits, HR technology, CSR programs, or philanthropy solutions to large employers
  • Experience building demand for emerging categories or evangelical sales without established budget allocation
  • Knowledge of payroll giving, federal tax credits, ERISA regulations, or state eligibility considerations
  • Career progression from quota-carrying SDR or BDR roles to enterprise Account Executive positions
