VP of Educational Operations   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Operations isn't a support function—it's our competitive advantage.

At 2 Hour Learning, we're building an AI-native K-12 education revolution where operational excellence directly drives our national expansion. As VP of Educational Operations, you'll become the architect of systems that power our ambitious growth. You'll master one of five mission-critical domains through hands-on execution and AI-enhanced learning:

  • Authorization & Permitting – Navigate regulatory landscapes to unlock new markets with strategic precision
  • Physical Build-Out & Maintenance – Transform empty spaces into thriving learning environments while maintaining excellence across our campus network
  • IT Operational Setup – Orchestrate seamless digital ecosystems that power learning from day one
  • Financial Operations – Craft financial intelligence systems that deliver real-time insights while maintaining impeccable compliance
  • PMO – Drive mission-critical initiatives with data-driven accountability and vendor optimization

Your impact will be immediate and measurable. You'll eliminate financial blindspots, streamline student onboarding, break into new markets, launch campuses with unprecedented speed, and reinvent management through AI-powered workflows. This role demands a builder's mindset—someone who sees obstacles as design challenges, not roadblocks.

If you're energized by high-stakes execution and building systems that scale, you've found your home. Your innovations will power 25-30 new schools in the next year, setting the standard for hundreds of staff and thousands of students. Your legacy won't be measured in meetings attended, but in problems solved and systems built.

What you will be doing

  • Spearheading one of our five operational pillars with full ownership and accountability
  • Pioneering solutions to novel challenges using AI, automation, and rapid experimentation
  • Developing scalable documentation and visual intelligence tools that maintain quality across our expanding network
  • Navigating complex stakeholder ecosystems including regulatory bodies, vendors, and on-site teams
  • Deploying to campuses for hands-on implementation and real-world validation of your systems

What you will NOT be doing

  • Submitting tickets and waiting for solutions—you'll be building and automating your own operational tools
  • Taking shortcuts with AI—you'll leverage it intelligently to create solutions that deliver in the real world
  • Operating from an ivory tower—expect regular field deployments where your systems meet reality
  • Creating strategies for others to implement—you'll own the full cycle from concept through execution

Key responsibilities

Champion operational excellence within your specialized pillar by architecting, implementing, and refining systems that enable rapid school expansion while maintaining exceptional quality standards through AI-enhanced precision and continuous improvement.

Candidate requirements

  • North America-based with capacity for 25-75% travel to support our expanding campus network
  • Minimum 5 years of proven performance in high-velocity, autonomous operational roles
  • Exceptional data analysis capabilities paired with compelling written communication
  • Results-oriented mindset with demonstrated humility and extreme ownership
  • Specialized expertise in at least one core domain: regulatory navigation, facilities development, SaaS implementation, financial planning/analysis, or technology vendor orchestration
  • Advanced AI fluency—you integrate AI tools into your daily workflow as naturally as others use Excel
  • Demonstrated history of creating automated solutions, systematizing complex processes, and exploring AI-powered development for practical applications
  • Proven ability to rapidly master new domains across legal, financial, compliance, or technical landscapes
