Director of Program Operations   $200,000 USD/year

Description

You've tracked deliverables. Built status reports. Followed up with vendors. Identified blockers. But your insights only informed—they didn't decide.

At 2 Hour Learning, that changes. We are constructing the world's most efficient, AI-enabled learning platform—condensing a complete school day into two hours while maintaining full academic outcomes. Supporting that mission is a $50M collection of rapidly evolving EdTech programs. Your execution will determine whether those programs deliver on schedule, within budget, and to standard.

You will run the operational infrastructure that ensures vendor accountability. Build real-time dashboards that leadership depends on. Develop vendor scorecards that trigger decisions. Manage structured procurement cycles and verify every invoiced amount. When a vendor underperforms, you surface it. When an invoice doesn't match scope, you escalate it. Your output doesn't just inform leadership—it activates them.

This role is built for operators seeking authority, not adjacency. If you are prepared to enter a position where precision is non-negotiable, AI amplifies your capacity, and your contributions directly influence which vendors continue, expand, or exit, we are interested in speaking with you.

What you will be doing

  • Operate live, AI-enhanced dashboards spanning 25+ initiatives—enforcing accuracy, transparency, and schedule adherence
  • Lead vendor reviews, create rubric-driven scorecards, and deliver insights that inform scope reductions, budget shifts, or vendor exits
  • Prepare dual-bid procurement packages featuring structured comparisons and defined scopes—facilitating vendor decisions
  • Monitor contract and billing accuracy—confirming every charge matches deliverables, limits, and executed agreements
  • Apply AI tools every day to identify discrepancies, generate reports, follow up on progress, and enhance all deliverables

What you will NOT be doing

  • Attending status meetings while projects drift undetected in the background
  • Assigning AI tasks to junior staff or depending on others to maintain system accuracy
  • Allowing invoice discrepancies or vendor delays to pass without escalation
  • Creating updates that circulate but trigger no decisions or corrective actions
  • Relying on intuition or approximation—your work is data-driven and leadership-grade

Key responsibilities

Deliver the dashboards, scorecards, procurement packages, and contract oversight that sustain a $50M operational system and enforce continuous vendor performance.

Candidate requirements

  • Direct ownership of multi-initiative program or portfolio execution ($5M+ in scope), including hands-on vendor coordination
  • Designed and sustained dashboards, scorecards, or monitoring systems used by executive leadership—not solely by internal contributors
  • Track record of conducting vendor reviews, preparing bid documentation, and participating in contracting workflows
  • Practical understanding of contracts, statements of work, and invoices—with capability to identify and escalate inconsistencies
  • Effective written communication—your briefings produce decisions, not additional discussion
  • Consistent application of AI tools to streamline, evaluate, and expedite execution
  • Located in the US, available for 25% domestic travel, and authorized to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice to have

  • Background in EdTech, consulting, or high-velocity operational environments
  • Working knowledge of platforms such as Linear, Notion, Jira, or proprietary AI dashboards
  • Prior involvement with vendor performance scorecards or large-scale procurement operations
