Compliance Operations Specialist   $100,000 USD/year

Description

You're the master of connecting with people, whether they're decision-makers or the engines that keep things moving. With your sharp intellect, approachable demeanor, and practical mindset, you're ready to conquer any challenge. Compliance might be new to you, but cutting through red tape and earning trust is your forte.

At 2 Hour Learning, we're redefining education. Our mission? Propel students further in two hours than conventional schools do in six. By harnessing AI, we personalize learning, eliminate busywork, and reignite the joy of education. When students finish early, they dive into life skills, explore passions, and truly become who they're meant to be. We're not just changing education; we're reclaiming time for our students.

This revolution begins with you. Your mission? Ensure our campuses open smoothly, legally, and punctually. You'll be the linchpin in securing the green light for our schools to welcome learners on day one. Collaborate with operational leaders, learn from seasoned mentors, and leverage AI tools to stay ahead of the curve. If you're ready to take ownership, drive momentum, and expedite school openings, we want you on our team.

What you will be doing

  • Research local licensing, permitting, and inspection requirements using AI tools and official sources, then turn them into concise action plans.
  • Build trust with city and state agencies by calling, emailing, and sometimes showing up in person to get things unstuck and approved.
  • Prepare and submit clean, accurate filings such as licenses, exemptions, and attachments, and track everything until it's approved.
  • Keep dashboards and paper trails current so leadership always has real-time visibility.
  • Learn quickly, especially in your first 90 days, through hands-on support, regular coaching, and real wins.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Guessing at regulations. You’ll be trained to verify facts and flag uncertainties.
  • Sitting around waiting for instructions. This role requires initiative from day one.
  • Writing fluff or boilerplate. We use AI for clarity, not filler.
  • Getting stuck in abstract policy work. You’ll solve real-world problems in real jurisdictions.
  • Traveling nonstop. You can expect to be on the road two to three weeks per month, with costs covered.

Key responsibilities

Unlock compliant, on-time campus launches by combining AI-enabled research with hands-on coordination and persuasive relationship-building.

Candidate requirements

  • Based in the U.S. and legally authorized to work without visa sponsorship.
  • Willing to travel 50–75% of the time across U.S. cities and states.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Claude for research, writing, or problem-solving
  • Strong communicator, confident and warm on the phone, effective and clear in writing
  • High follow-through. You treat deadlines and deliverables as personal commitments
  • Detail-oriented. No missing attachments, wrong forms, or sloppy filings
  • Fast learner, especially in unfamiliar systems or ambiguous situations
  • Comfortable juggling multiple timelines and conversations at once
  • Reliable access to a computer and internet connection

Nice to have

  • Experience in customer-facing, compliance-adjacent, or operations-heavy roles
  • Background in public policy, communications, business, or legal studies
  • Past experience solving messy logistical problems in jobs, internships, or volunteer roles
