Description

Launch schools. Transform lives. Move faster than bureaucracy allows.

Many people claim they want to create meaningful change. Few are prepared to tackle the difficult, friction-filled work that actually delivers results.

2 Hour Learning is redesigning education so students can complete their academics in two concentrated hours daily, freeing time to develop critical thinking, creativity, and real-world skills. This vision doesn't materialize through presentations or advocacy. It becomes real when a facility receives approvals, passes inspections, and opens to students.

In this position, you will be the individual who converts planning into action. You'll take vacant properties and convert them into functioning schools by managing permits, inspections, and contractor schedules. You won't wait for complete clarity or accept bureaucratic inertia. You'll establish relationships, find solutions, and persist until obstacles are overcome.

This is not a desk-based coordination position. It demands physical presence, direct calls to inspectors, visits to municipal offices, vendor coordination, and proactive issue identification before they cause setbacks. Success relies on your on-the-ground involvement and decision-making. Expect to travel 3-4 days weekly during most weeks, visiting cities nationwide.

You'll interface with municipal authorities and construction professionals, while maintaining transparent communication with senior internal leadership. Some days will be spent on-site, removing roadblocks. Other days will involve interpreting local codes into actionable plans. You understand that physical presence drives results.

You'll have opportunities to advance as rapidly as our school network expands. Each new city will refine your expertise. Each opening will develop capabilities that scale to multi-location launches, cross-jurisdictional compliance, and infrastructure-intensive initiatives. You will learn how systems truly function and design improved versions.

When you execute this role effectively, a school launches. And when a school launches, children gain access to superior education immediately, not eventually.

If that accountability energizes you, you will succeed here. If you prefer defined boundaries or guaranteed certainty, this position won't align.

If this represents the work you want to pursue, we want to connect with you.

What you will be doing

  • Investigating local permitting, licensing, zoning, and inspection protocols using AI-powered tools and authoritative sources
  • Contacting city and regional agencies directly to confirm requirements, resolve ambiguities, and determine compliant pathways
  • Converting scattered regulations, correspondence, and discussions into structured checklists, schedules, and action items
  • Compiling, filing, and monitoring submissions through approval with rigorous attention to accuracy
  • Aligning construction teams and vendors so project timelines synchronize with inspection and approval sequences
  • Traveling regularly, usually 3 - 4 days weekly, to U.S. locations to advance openings through direct engagement
  • Managing straightforward, precise tracking systems so teams consistently know approval status, bottlenecks, and your mitigation efforts
  • Delivering updates in concise format to senior internal decision-makers

What you will NOT be doing

  • Assuming regulatory details without direct confirmation from official sources
  • Awaiting authorization to proceed or expecting others to determine next actions
  • Relying on email when direct phone or face-to-face communication will accelerate progress
  • Producing lengthy conceptual documents that don't lead to approvals
  • Engaging in theoretical planning detached from actual deadlines and deliverables

Key responsibilities

Independently advance compliant, timely microschool openings by integrating proactive execution, AI-assisted research, and relationship-based problem resolution across multiple jurisdictions.

Candidate requirements

  • Located in the United States with authorization to work without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Available and prepared to travel 60-80% of the time to U.S. cities
  • Proven ownership of results in uncertain or rapidly changing contexts
  • Track record of successful communication with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership and external collaborators
  • Confidence initiating contact with new stakeholders and establishing relationships efficiently
  • Reliable execution on detail-intensive tasks with firm deadlines
  • Documented experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Perplexity to enhance research, planning, or communication

Nice to have

  • Background involving permits, inspections, facilities, construction, real estate, or compliance, including internships or project assignments
  • Participation in student government, event operations, facilities management, or leadership roles requiring multi-party coordination
  • Familiarity with city, county, or state government agencies in any context
  • Education or experience in public administration, urban planning, legal studies, business operations, or communications
  • Curiosity about long-term career trajectories in site launches, multi-location operations, infrastructure programs, real estate development, or logistics networks
