Technology Operations Specialist   $100,000 USD/year

Description

You do not want to spend your time managing tickets. You want to be accountable for the infrastructure that keeps an organization operational. If you have managed endpoint fleets, SaaS administration, and procurement under real deadlines, this role represents a meaningful step forward. If you are comfortable in slow-moving IT environments where nothing evolves and launch schedules are not your concern, this position will not be the right match.

2 Hour Learning is expanding a new approach to K-12 education driven by AI-powered personalized learning. As campuses open on a predictable schedule, the gap between "prepared" and "unprepared" frequently comes down to core operational delivery: the correct devices, provisioned and enrolled; the correct SaaS licenses, active and allocated; the correct communication tools, configured and validated.

In this position, you will oversee device procurement from Dell, HP, Apple, and Lenovo; manage MDM (mobile device management) and provisioning processes; handle SaaS account administration and renewals for 14+ platforms; and implement the campus technology onboarding playbook (covering Google Voice, Zoom Phone, and Zoom Rooms). You will capture what succeeds, refine the SOPs, and leverage AI tools to automate recurring tasks.

If you seek defined ownership, quantifiable results, and the momentum of an expanding school network, we want to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Manage complete device procurement processes for Dell, HP, Apple, and Lenovo, monitoring lead times and shipment schedules to ensure campuses receive equipment ahead of launch deadlines
  • Provision, image, enroll, and manage the lifecycle of student and staff devices using an MDM platform, maintaining accurate asset documentation across all campuses
  • Oversee SaaS account administration, permissions, and licensing across 14+ platforms, anticipating utilization thresholds and renewal timelines to avoid service interruptions
  • Carry out the new-campus technology onboarding playbook, preparing devices, provisioning systems, and setting up Google Voice, Zoom Phone, and Zoom Rooms prior to opening day
  • Develop and update SOPs, runbooks, and launch checklists, refining them with each campus onboarding cycle and automating recurring processes using AI tools

What you will NOT be doing

  • Operating primarily as a queue-driven helpdesk technician evaluated by ticket throughput
  • Architecting enterprise-level IT strategy or engaging in extended planning discussions while launch timelines are at risk
  • Handling unstructured purchasing requests without inventory tracking, vendor management, or established specifications
  • Relying on others to create process documentation (you will ensure launches are systematic, not memory-dependent)

Key responsibilities

This role ensures that every campus launches and operates on time because devices, SaaS access, and launch technology infrastructure are completely provisioned and functional before the first day of operation.

Candidate requirements

  • Currently located in the United States and authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship
  • Willing and able to travel periodically to US campuses
  • Experience administering an MDM (mobile device management) platform such as ManageEngine, Jamf, Intune, Mosyle, or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience deploying and supporting end-user devices (laptops or tablets), including provisioning/imaging and troubleshooting
  • Experience administering SaaS platforms, including account provisioning, permissions management, and license management
  • Experience coordinating hardware procurement and delivery logistics and/or running asset tracking workflows
  • Evidence of creating or maintaining operational documentation such as SOPs, runbooks, or playbooks
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to troubleshoot technical problems or automate repetitive operational workflows

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting a distributed, multi-site environment where inventory, spares, and repairs must be managed across locations
  • Strong track record of building simple automations that reduce manual provisioning and reporting work
  • Experience configuring or administering communication tools such as Google Voice, Zoom Phone, or Zoom Rooms
