Software Quality Assurance Engineer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

The software sector continues to struggle with prolonged release timelines and defect-heavy products, primarily because testing methodologies have not kept pace with development demands. Conventional QA approaches, including those with rudimentary automation, consistently miss critical defects until later stages, resulting in expensive setbacks and dissatisfied end users. Industry data shows that more than 60% of software defects are found after release, and quality-related issues generate over $2 trillion in annual costs across the software industry. Delivering faster, more dependable software requires a fundamental shift in quality assurance strategy.

IgniteTech is driving this transformation by embedding GenAI capabilities throughout our QA workflows. We leverage AI to replicate user interactions, create sophisticated test scenarios, and evaluate defect patterns, enabling us to ship more quickly with higher quality. When you join our team, you position yourself at the cutting edge of this evolution, using artificial intelligence to remove bottlenecks and anticipate issues before they materialize.

This position differs significantly from conventional QA roles. If you expect an environment centered on manual test runs or routine automation maintenance, you should look elsewhere. In this role, you will design and advance AI-powered test automation architectures, apply predictive modeling to surface latent risks, and contribute directly to redefining software quality standards. You will build adaptive, scalable systems suited to the realities of contemporary development—not execute predefined tasks within a static framework. If this aligns with your career ambitions, submit your application and contribute to the next generation of software excellence.

What you will be doing

  • Build and sustain AI-driven test automation frameworks that generate test cases, automation scripts, and validation datasets for thorough product coverage
  • Apply GenAI solutions to evaluate test results, detect defect patterns, and deliver actionable recommendations for ongoing quality enhancements
  • Model user interactions, high-load environments, and boundary conditions to identify potential failures before they reach production

Key responsibilities

  • Leverage AI and automation technologies to accelerate release cycles and reduce product defect rates

Candidate requirements

  • AI-First Mindset (if your default approach is to write code manually before using AI tools for validation or improvement, rather than starting with AI, this role is not suitable for you)
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in QA automation
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Selenium and at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript
  • Hands-on professional experience applying AI tools to automate quality assurance processes
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
