Quality Assurance Automation Engineer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

Slow release cycles and error-prone software continue to plague the industry, driven in large part by outdated testing approaches. Even with basic automation in place, traditional QA methods struggle to identify critical defects early, resulting in expensive delays and dissatisfied end users. Industry data shows that more than 60% of software bugs surface after release, and quality-related defects impose a cost exceeding $2 trillion annually on the software sector. Meeting the demand for faster, more dependable software requires a fundamental shift in quality assurance strategy.

IgniteTech is at the forefront of this transformation, embedding GenAI capabilities throughout every phase of the QA lifecycle. We leverage artificial intelligence to replicate user interactions, produce sophisticated test scenarios, and evaluate defect patterns, enabling us to ship releases more quickly with reduced bug counts. By joining our team, you position yourself at the cutting edge of this evolution, applying AI to remove bottlenecks and anticipate issues before they manifest.

This position differs from conventional QA roles. If you expect a traditional setting centered on manual test execution or routine automation scripting, you will not find it here. In this role, you will take ownership of designing and advancing AI-powered test automation architectures, apply predictive analytics to surface latent risks, and contribute directly to defining the next generation of software quality. You will serve as the architect of adaptable, scalable solutions tailored to the demands of contemporary development—not a participant in a fixed, legacy workflow. If this aligns with the career move you have been seeking, submit your application and help define the future of software development.

What you will be doing

  • Design and sustain AI-powered test automation frameworks that generate test cases, scripts, and datasets for thorough validation
  • Apply GenAI tools to evaluate test results, detect defect patterns, and deliver actionable recommendations for ongoing enhancement
  • Replicate user behaviors, stress scenarios, and boundary conditions to detect potential problems before end users are affected

Key responsibilities

  • Leverage AI and automation technologies to accelerate product releases and reduce defect rates

Candidate requirements

  • AI-First Mindset (if your default approach is to write code first and then employ AI tools to validate or refine your work, rather than starting with AI, then this role is not suitable for you)
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a QA automation capacity
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Selenium and at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript
  • Hands-on professional experience utilizing AI tools to automate quality assurance processes
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD platforms, including Jenkins or GitHub Actions
