Quality Assurance Automation Engineer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

Slow release cycles and error-prone software continue to plague the industry, driven in large part by legacy testing approaches. Conventional QA methods, including rudimentary automation, consistently miss critical defects until late stages, resulting in expensive setbacks and dissatisfied end users. Industry data reveals that more than 60% of software defects are identified after release, and quality failures impose costs exceeding $2 trillion annually on the software sector. Delivering faster, more dependable software requires a fundamental shift in quality assurance strategy.

IgniteTech is pioneering this transformation by embedding GenAI capabilities across the entire QA lifecycle. We leverage AI to model user interactions, create sophisticated test scenarios, and interpret defect patterns, enabling accelerated releases with reduced bug counts. When you join us, you work on the leading edge of innovation, applying AI to remove bottlenecks and anticipate issues before they materialize.

This is not a conventional QA role. If you expect an environment centered on manual test runs or routine automation scripting, you will not find it here. In this position, you will take ownership of designing and advancing AI-powered test automation architectures, apply predictive analytics to surface latent risks, and contribute directly to the evolution of software quality. You will build scalable systems that respond to the demands of contemporary development, rather than operate within a static, obsolete framework. If this aligns with the challenge you have been seeking, submit your application and shape the next generation of software development.

What you will be doing

  • Build and sustain AI-driven test automation frameworks that produce test cases, scripts, and datasets for thorough validation
  • Apply GenAI technologies to assess testing results, detect defect trends, and deliver practical recommendations for ongoing enhancement
  • Create simulations of user behaviors, high-load scenarios, and boundary conditions to reveal potential failures before they affect end users

Key responsibilities

  • Leverage AI and automation technologies to accelerate product launches and reduce the incidence of product defects

Candidate requirements

  • AI-First Mindset (if your instinct is to write code first and then use AI tools to verify or enhance your code, rather than the other way around, then please do not apply)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a QA automation role
  • Proficiency in Selenium and one of the following languages: Python, Java, JavaScript
  • Professional experience using AI tools to automate QA workflows
  • Familiarity with CI/CD platforms, such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
