Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

The software industry faces persistent challenges with prolonged release cycles and defect-heavy products, primarily driven by legacy testing approaches. Conventional QA methods, including those with rudimentary automation, consistently fail to identify critical defects in early development stages, resulting in expensive delays and dissatisfied end users. Industry research indicates that more than 60% of software defects are detected after release, while quality-related failures impose an annual cost exceeding $2 trillion on the global software sector. The push toward accelerated, more dependable software requires a fundamental transformation in quality assurance methodology.

IgniteTech is spearheading this transformation by embedding GenAI capabilities throughout every phase of the QA lifecycle. Through AI-powered simulation of user interactions, automated generation of sophisticated test scenarios, and intelligent analysis of defect patterns, we achieve accelerated releases with reduced bug counts. Becoming part of our team positions you at the cutting edge of this evolution, where AI eliminates process bottlenecks and enables proactive problem detection.

This position departs significantly from conventional QA roles. If your interest lies in traditional manual test execution environments or routine automation scripting, this opportunity will not align with your expectations. In this role, you will take ownership of designing and advancing AI-powered test automation architectures, implement predictive analytics to surface latent risks, and contribute to defining the next generation of software quality practices. You will function as the designer of adaptive, scalable solutions suited to contemporary development challenges—not as a participant in inflexible, legacy workflows. If this aligns with the career opportunity you have been seeking, submit your application to influence the trajectory of software development.

What you will be doing

  • Design and sustain AI-driven test automation frameworks that generate test cases, automation scripts, and test data to enable thorough validation
  • Apply GenAI tools to evaluate testing results, detect defect patterns, and deliver actionable recommendations for ongoing enhancement
  • Model user interactions, high-stress scenarios, and boundary conditions to detect potential failures before user exposure

Key responsibilities

  • Leverage AI and automation technologies to accelerate product release cycles and minimize product defects

Candidate requirements

  • AI-First Mindset (if your instinct is to write code first and then use AI tools to verify or enhance your code, rather than the other way around, then please do not apply)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a QA automation role
  • Proficiency in Selenium and one of the following languages: Python, Java, JavaScript
  • Professional experience using AI tools to automate QA workflows
  • Familiarity with CI/CD platforms, such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
