Software Architect   $100,000 USD/year

Description

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who excels at tackling complex technical problems and shipping features that drive real impact. In this role, you'll contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI-driven products designed to reshape learning and personal development. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Our portfolio includes products redefining education:

  • TeachTap: An AI-powered platform that brings historical figures to life through a TikTok-style learning interface.
  • TeachTales: A tool that captivates students with personalized, enchanting storytelling to improve comprehension.
  • TimeBack: A learning copilot that integrates seamlessly with existing applications to provide proactive student coaching.
  • Athena: An AI-based solution using generated videos and assessments to achieve measurable academic results.

This position is designed to create tangible impact through functional software. You will leverage AI tooling and cloud-native infrastructure to construct full-stack systems that address substantive challenges rather than simply completing tasks. The expectation is rapid delivery without compromising quality, selecting the most straightforward correct approach that reconciles immediate velocity with sustained maintainability.

If you are prepared to navigate intricate technical obstacles and deliver meaningful features, we encourage you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Design and Deliver Full-Stack Features: Transform user stories into deployed solutions by clarifying requirements, architecting scalable systems, implementing backend and frontend logic, conducting comprehensive testing, and releasing to production
  • Diagnose and Resolve Bugs: Conduct root cause analysis to investigate issues, address underlying problems rather than superficial symptoms, and implement intelligent testing strategies to prevent regressions
  • Elevate Code Standards: Conduct reviews of technical plans and pull requests to enforce clarity, simplicity, and correctness, preventing technical debt at the source

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or elaborate backend architectures as ends in themselves
  • Executing specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying problem
  • Spending excessive time in meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or coordinating with multiple stakeholders
  • Merely delivering features; your responsibility extends to solving genuine problems

Key responsibilities

  • Applying AI to develop software that addresses authentic user needs, delivers quickly, and remains maintainable over time

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience developing production code for both frontend and backend of web applications (any framework).
  • Proven ownership: Demonstrated track record of owning entire modules, product features, or teams, rather than just executing isolated tasks
  • Self-sufficient execution: Capability to unblock yourself, establish your own rhythm, and navigate ambiguous circumstances independently
  • Practical experience using generative A.I. tools in daily development workflows
