Senior Software Engineer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

This position is for a Full-Stack Engineer who excels at tackling complex problems and shipping features that drive meaningful impact. You will contribute to the development of AI-driven products designed to reshape how individuals learn and develop, with a strong emphasis on scalable, maintainable, and high-quality execution.

The products you'll be working on are reshaping education:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures in an engaging, TikTok-style learning format.
  • TeachTales: Captivates students through personalized, enchanting storytelling to improve understanding.
  • TimeBack: Functions as an intelligent learning assistant integrated into existing platforms, offering proactive student coaching.
  • Athena: Employs AI-generated video content and assessments to produce quantifiable academic improvements.

This role is designed to create tangible impact through functional software. You will leverage AI tooling and cloud-native infrastructure to develop full-stack solutions that address genuine challenges, not simply complete task lists. The expectation is rapid delivery without compromising quality, consistently selecting the most straightforward correct approach that reconciles immediate velocity with sustained maintainability.

If you are prepared to navigate intricate technical problems and ship features that matter, we want to connect with you.

What you will be doing

  • Design and Deploy Full-Stack Capabilities: Own user stories from concept through production; validate requirements, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend logic, conduct comprehensive testing, and release live
  • Identify and Resolve Defects: Perform root cause investigations on issues, address underlying problems rather than surface symptoms, and prevent future regressions through strategic testing
  • Elevate Code Standards: Conduct reviews of technical plans and pull requests to maintain clarity, simplicity, and accuracy, preventing technical debt at the source

What you will NOT be doing

  • Crafting pixel-precise interfaces or intricate backend systems without clear purpose
  • Executing specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying challenge
  • Spending time in continuous meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or coordinating with others
  • Merely delivering features; your accountability extends to solving genuine problems

Key responsibilities

  • Applying AI to develop software that addresses authentic user needs, ships quickly, and remains sustainable over time

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience developing production code for both frontend and backend of web applications (framework-agnostic).
  • Proven ownership: Track record of owning entire modules, product features, or teams, beyond isolated task contributions
  • Self-sufficient execution: Capability to remove your own blockers, manage your own workflow, and navigate uncertain scenarios
  • Practical experience incorporating generative A.I. into daily development activities
