Description

Are you a top-tier engineer who excels at taking ownership, driving strategic influence, and solving complex technical problems? In this position, you will develop the most critical features of a product while shaping its technical trajectory and ensuring sustained stability and growth. The technical choices you make will have a direct impact on the product and its user base, granting you the freedom to innovate alongside the accountability to execute.

You'll contribute to products that are redefining education:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures within a TikTok-style learning environment.
  • TeachTales: Captivates students through personalized, magical narratives that enhance comprehension.
  • TimeBack: Functions as a learning copilot integrated with existing applications, coaching students proactively.
  • Athena: Delivers measurable academic results through AI-generated videos and assessments.

You will steer the technical advancement of our products, guaranteeing they remain scalable, maintainable, and resilient over time. Working hand-in-hand with product teams, you will convert high-level requirements into technical design decisions and address complex challenges while upholding rigorous quality standards. The choices you make will define the product's trajectory and affect how thousands of students engage with learning and development.

We emphasize deliberate planning and upfront design. Our AI-first methodology automates routine tasks, allowing you to concentrate on high-impact decisions and problem-solving. You will enjoy significant autonomy and the capacity to shape product direction while prioritizing long-term stability and scalability.

If you're prepared to spearhead the technical evolution of our SaaS products and harness generative AI to expand possibilities, we'd be eager to connect with you.

What you will be doing

  • Requirement Engineering: Partnering with the product team to clarify requirements and spearheading technical discussions to ensure features align with product objectives.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Overseeing and sustaining product stability, optimizing performance, and proactively detecting and addressing issues.
  • Technical Design: Making high-stakes technical decisions that directly influence user experiences and product scalability.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Jumping between short-term projects or pursuing the latest hype-driven technology trends.
  • Contributing to internal IT systems or outsourced projects lacking tangible user impact.
  • Becoming mired in endless meetings or grappling with tedious infrastructure problems.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 1 year of full-stack development experience, working on front and backend features.
  • At least 2 years as the primary technical contributor for a SaaS product, driving strategic technical decisions.
  • At least 4 years of experience working on actual SaaS products, not outsourcing or internal IT projects.
  • Experience in using generative AI in your day-to-day development work.
