Are you an exceptional engineer who excels at taking ownership, driving strategic impact, and solving sophisticated technical problems? This position requires you to develop critical product features while simultaneously influencing technical strategy and maintaining long-term system reliability and expansion. The technical choices you make will have direct consequences on the product and its user base, providing you with creative freedom and accountability for execution.

You'll contribute to products reshaping education:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures within a TikTok-style educational interface.
  • TeachTales: Captures student interest through customized, enchanting narratives that enhance understanding.
  • TimeBack: Functions as an intelligent learning assistant that connects with current applications, offering proactive student guidance.
  • Athena: Employs AI-created videos and assessments to produce quantifiable learning results.

Your role centers on advancing the technical foundation of our products, guaranteeing they remain scalable, sustainable, and resilient over time. Working in close partnership with product teams, you will convert strategic requirements into technical architecture and address intricate challenges while upholding rigorous quality benchmarks. The choices you implement will define the product's trajectory and affect how thousands of learners develop their skills.

Our AI-driven methodology handles repetitive activities, allowing you to concentrate on impactful decisions and sophisticated problem resolution. What you will be doing

  • Feature Development: Architecting and building new capabilities with emphasis on scalability, sustainability, and enduring product value.
  • Requirement Engineering: Partnering with product stakeholders to clarify specifications and guiding technical conversations to ensure features support product objectives.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Overseeing and sustaining product reliability, optimizing performance metrics, and preemptively detecting and addressing challenges.
  • Technical Design: Executing high-stakes technical choices that directly influence user satisfaction and system scalability.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Jumping between temporary assignments or pursuing trendy technologies without substance.
  • Contributing to internal IT infrastructure or contract work lacking meaningful user engagement.
  • Becoming bogged down in excessive meetings or managing tedious operational overhead.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 1 year of full-stack development experience, working on front and backend features.
  • At least 2 years as the primary technical contributor for a SaaS product, driving strategic technical decisions.
  • At least 4 years of experience working on actual SaaS products, not outsourcing or internal IT projects.
  • Experience in using generative AI in your day-to-day development work.
