Description

This role is designed for exceptional engineers who excel at ownership, strategic thinking, and solving sophisticated technical problems. You will be responsible for building the product's most critical features while defining its technical trajectory and maintaining its long-term reliability and expansion. The technical choices you make will have a direct effect on both the product and its user base, granting you the freedom to innovate and the accountability to execute.

The products you'll contribute to are reshaping education:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures within a TikTok-style learning platform.
  • TeachTales: Captures student attention through customized, enchanting narratives that enhance understanding.
  • TimeBack: Functions as a learning assistant that works alongside existing applications, actively guiding students.
  • Athena: Employs AI-created videos and assessments to produce quantifiable educational results.

Your role will be to steer the technical advancement of our offerings, guaranteeing they remain scalable, sustainable, and dependable over time. Working in close partnership with product stakeholders, you will convert broad requirements into concrete technical design decisions and navigate intricate challenges while upholding rigorous quality benchmarks. The impact of your decisions will define the product's trajectory and affect how thousands of learners engage and develop.

We emphasize deliberate planning and design-first thinking. Our AI-driven methodology automates routine work, allowing you to concentrate on strategic decisions and meaningful problem-solving. You will enjoy substantial autonomy and the capacity to shape product strategy while prioritizing enduring stability and scalability.

If you are prepared to spearhead the technical transformation of our SaaS offerings and harness generative AI to explore new frontiers, we want to connect with you.

What you will be doing

  • Feature Development: Architecting and building new capabilities with an emphasis on scalability, sustainability, and enduring product value.
  • Requirement Engineering: Partnering with the product organization to clarify requirements and guiding technical conversations to ensure features support product objectives.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Overseeing and sustaining product reliability, optimizing performance, and anticipating and addressing potential issues.
  • Technical Design: Executing high-stakes technical choices that directly influence user satisfaction and product growth potential.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Jumping between transient projects or pursuing the latest technology fads.
  • Contributing to internal IT infrastructure or contract-based projects that lack tangible user outcomes.
  • Spending time in unproductive meetings or managing monotonous infrastructure concerns.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 1 year of full-stack development experience, working on front and backend features.
  • At least 2 years as the primary technical contributor for a SaaS product, driving strategic technical decisions.
  • At least 4 years of experience working on actual SaaS products, not outsourcing or internal IT projects.
  • Experience in using generative AI in your day-to-day development work.
