Description

As a top-tier engineer, you will take ownership of complex technical challenges while exercising strategic influence over product direction. This role positions you to build the most critical features of a product, shape its technical trajectory, and ensure its long-term stability and growth. Your technical choices will directly affect the product and its user base, granting you both the autonomy to innovate and the accountability to execute.

Our products are transforming the learning landscape:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures in a TikTok-style learning format.
  • TeachTales: Captivates students through personalized, magical storytelling that enhances comprehension.
  • TimeBack: Functions as a learning copilot, integrating with existing applications to proactively guide students.
  • Athena: Employs AI-generated videos and assessments to produce measurable academic results.

Your role will be to drive the technical advancement of our products, making them scalable, maintainable, and resilient for the future. Working in close partnership with product teams, you will convert high-level objectives into technical design strategies and resolve intricate challenges while upholding rigorous quality standards. Your decisions will define the product's trajectory and affect how thousands of students engage with learning.

Our approach emphasizes deliberate planning and proactive design. By adopting an AI-first methodology, we automate routine tasks, allowing you to concentrate on high-value decisions and sophisticated problem-solving. You will enjoy substantial autonomy and the opportunity to influence product priorities, emphasizing long-term stability and scalability.

If you are prepared to lead the technical transformation of our SaaS products and harness generative AI to expand possibilities, we encourage you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Requirement Engineering: Partnering with the product team to clarify requirements and guiding technical conversations to ensure feature alignment with product objectives.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Overseeing product stability through monitoring, performance optimization, and proactive identification and resolution of issues.
  • Technical Design: Executing high-stakes technical decisions that directly influence user experience and product scalability.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Jumping between short-term initiatives or pursuing the latest hype-driven technology fads.
  • Contributing to internal IT infrastructure or outsourced engagements lacking tangible user impact.
  • Spending excessive time in meetings or wrestling with tedious infrastructure challenges.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 1 year of full-stack development experience, working on front and backend features.
  • At least 2 years as the primary technical contributor for a SaaS product, driving strategic technical decisions.
  • At least 4 years of experience working on actual SaaS products, not outsourcing or internal IT projects.
