Senior Applied AI Engineer   $200,000 USD/year

Description

The educational technology industry confronts a critical obstacle: creating learning content that resonates with students while addressing their individual requirements. The market is saturated with one-size-fits-all solutions that fail to deliver meaningful results. Studies show that educational resources lacking personalization or adaptability to diverse learning preferences lead to decreased student participation, resulting in suboptimal learning outcomes. Educators bear the burden of delivering customized, high-caliber instruction within tight time and budget limitations.

LearnWith.AI addresses this challenge directly through AI-powered innovation in content development. Our focus extends beyond conventional AI applications—we engineer intelligent systems that produce dynamic, learner-centric educational resources. Envision an AI-enabled "Second Brain" for disciplines such as Science or History—a sophisticated knowledge engine that generates compelling, adaptive materials efficiently and at scale. This methodology distinguishes us in a competitive landscape and expands the horizon of AI's role in education, delivering learning experiences that are accessible, impactful, and engaging.

This position differs from traditional AI engineering roles. You won't be confined to routine programming tasks or theoretical model development. You'll spearhead efforts to transform student learning by architecting and deploying AI-powered workflows that deliver genuinely personalized educational experiences. This opportunity isn't suited for those seeking predictable assignments or gradual optimization—it's designed for forward-thinking innovators ready to leverage advanced technology for tangible, real-world outcomes.

As an integral contributor to our team, you'll design AI-driven educational platforms capable of reshaping how learning occurs. You'll utilize LLMs as specialized domain authorities to construct contextual knowledge frameworks and intelligent tutoring systems, ensuring our AI produces content with depth and relevance. If the prospect of applying AI to revolutionize education excites you, and you're prepared to own projects that challenge conventional limits, we encourage you to connect with us.

What you will be doing

  • Developing Self-Improving AI Content Generation Systems – Creating agent-based workflows that produce educational materials and continuously enhance themselves through evaluation loops and systematic experimentation.
  • Building Evaluation Sets & Experiment Harnesses – Assembling curated datasets (inputs → expected outputs) and implementing scoring frameworks to assess, compare, and refine the quality of AI-generated educational content.
  • Architecting Context Packs – Constructing structured knowledge resources that deliver domain-specific grounding, enabling systems to produce accurate, high-caliber educational materials across multiple subjects.

Key responsibilities

  • Enable LearnWith.AI to distinguish itself in the marketplace by producing engaging, personalized educational content through advanced AI-powered tools

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a software engineer
  • Professional experience integrating LLMs into a software product (experience building a chatbot or using simple coding assistants is not sufficient)
  • Experience shipping a production system where a self-improving agent drove the iteration on the system itself (e.g., designed its own tools, refined its own reward function, etc.)
  • Experience curating evaluation or regression sets driving self-improving systems and defining measurable success criteria
  • Experience with modern agent-orchestration tooling (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)
