Lead AI Engineer   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Educational technology companies confront a critical obstacle: creating learning content that resonates with students while addressing their individual educational requirements. The marketplace is saturated with one-size-fits-all, low-impact learning solutions, making differentiation increasingly difficult. Evidence shows that educational resources which fail to engage learners or accommodate their distinct learning approaches lead to sharp declines in participation, resulting in a deficit of meaningful educational outcomes. This burden falls disproportionately on teachers, who must deliver personalized, high-caliber instruction within limited time frames and budgets.

LearnWith.AI addresses this challenge directly through strategic application of artificial intelligence to transform content development. Our mission extends beyond merely implementing AI capabilities—we engineer AI-powered architectures that produce adaptive, learner-centered educational resources. Imagine an AI-enabled "Second Brain" for disciplines such as History or Science—a sophisticated knowledge system that delivers compelling, responsive content on demand. This distinctive methodology sets us apart in a saturated industry while expanding the scope of AI applications in education, delivering learning experiences that are more inclusive, impactful, and engaging.

This position differs substantially from conventional AI engineering opportunities. Your responsibilities will extend well beyond writing code or refining theoretical models. You'll spearhead the transformation of student learning by architecting and deploying AI-enabled workflows that deliver genuinely individualized educational experiences. This role is not suited for those who favor routine assignments or gradual optimization—it demands forward-thinking innovators ready to leverage advanced technology for tangible educational impact.

Joining our team, you'll design AI-powered educational platforms capable of fundamentally changing how learning occurs. You'll deploy large language models as specialized domain authorities to construct contextual knowledge frameworks and intelligent tutoring systems, guaranteeing that our AI produces content with both substance and effectiveness. If the prospect of applying AI to revolutionize education appeals to you, and you're prepared to own initiatives that challenge conventional limits, we encourage your application.

What you will be doing

  • Architecting Self-Improving AI Content Generation Frameworks – Develop agent-based workflows that produce educational materials and continuously enhance performance through evaluation cycles and systematic experimentation.
  • Constructing Evaluation Datasets & Experimentation Infrastructure – Build curated test collections (input → anticipated output mappings) and assessment mechanisms for measuring, benchmarking, and refining AI-generated educational content quality.
  • Engineering Context Packs – Develop structured knowledge repositories that supply domain-specific foundation and enable systems to produce accurate, superior-quality educational materials across multiple subject areas.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive competitive differentiation for LearnWith.AI by producing compelling and individualized educational content through AI-powered solutions

Candidate requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience embedding LLMs into production software systems (basic chatbot development or simple coding assistant usage does not qualify)
  • Track record of deploying production systems where self-improving agents directed system evolution (e.g., autonomous tool creation, reward function refinement, etc.)
  • Proven experience developing evaluation or regression datasets that guide self-improving architectures and establishing quantifiable performance metrics
  • Hands-on experience with contemporary agent-orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)
