Principal AI Engineer   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Educational technology companies confront a fundamental challenge: creating learning content that engages students while meeting their individual needs. The market is saturated with one-size-fits-all tools that fail to deliver meaningful results. Evidence shows that generic educational materials—those that don't resonate with learners or adjust to varied learning preferences—lead to sharp declines in engagement and undermine the learning process. Educators face mounting pressure to deliver personalized, high-caliber instruction within limited budgets and tight timeframes.

LearnWith.AI addresses this challenge directly through advanced AI technology that transforms content development. We are building AI-driven platforms capable of generating dynamic, individualized learning resources. Imagine an AI-powered knowledge engine for disciplines such as History or Science—a sophisticated system that produces scalable, adaptive, and compelling educational content. This strategy sets us apart in a competitive landscape and expands the frontier of AI applications in education, improving accessibility, effectiveness, and learner satisfaction.

This is not a conventional AI engineering position. You will not be confined to routine coding tasks or detached model experimentation. You will spearhead efforts to redefine student learning by architecting and deploying AI-powered workflows that deliver genuinely personalized educational experiences. This opportunity is designed for those who thrive on innovation and complex challenges—not for individuals seeking incremental refinements or predictable assignments.

You will architect AI-powered educational solutions with the capacity to reshape the learning environment. Your work will involve deploying LLMs as specialized knowledge sources to construct contextual learning modules and intelligent tutoring systems, ensuring the AI produces content that is substantive and impactful. If the prospect of leveraging AI to redefine education excites you, and you are prepared to own projects that challenge conventional limits, we invite your application.

What you will be doing

  • Architecting Self-Improving Content Generation Systems – Building agent-based workflows that autonomously produce educational materials and refine themselves through evaluation loops and systematic experimentation.
  • Developing Evaluation Frameworks & Experiment Harnesses – Designing curated input-output datasets and scoring mechanisms to assess, benchmark, and enhance the quality of AI-generated educational content.
  • Engineering Context Packs – Assembling structured knowledge repositories that supply domain expertise, enabling systems to produce precise, high-caliber educational materials across multiple subjects.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive differentiation for LearnWith.AI by deploying AI tools that produce engaging, personalized educational content and establish competitive advantage

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience embedding LLMs into production software products (building basic chatbots or using off-the-shelf coding assistants does not qualify)
  • Proven track record shipping production systems featuring self-improving agents that iteratively enhanced the system (e.g., autonomously designed tools, refined reward functions, etc.)
  • Experience developing evaluation or regression datasets that govern self-improving systems and establishing quantifiable success metrics
  • Hands-on experience with contemporary agent-orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)
