Staff AI Engineer   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Educational technology companies confront a critical problem: creating learning content that both captivates students and addresses their individual learning requirements. The market is saturated with one-size-fits-all tools that fail to deliver results. Evidence shows that educational materials lacking personalization or adaptability to diverse learning preferences lead to dramatic declines in student engagement, producing a void in meaningful learning outcomes. Educators bear the burden of this gap, tasked with delivering personalized, high-caliber instruction while operating under significant time and budgetary limitations.

LearnWith.AI directly addresses this challenge by leveraging artificial intelligence to transform how educational content is produced. Our mission extends beyond developing AI utilities—we engineer AI-powered infrastructures that produce responsive, individualized learning resources. Envision an AI-enabled "Second Brain" for disciplines such as History or Science—a sophisticated knowledge system that generates compelling, adaptive materials on demand. This approach distinguishes us within a competitive landscape and expands the horizon for AI applications in education, enhancing accessibility, efficacy, and engagement in learning.

This position departs from conventional AI engineering. You will not be confined to writing code or refining theoretical models in isolation. Rather, you will spearhead initiatives that fundamentally alter how students engage with content by architecting and deploying AI-powered systems designed to deliver genuinely personalized educational experiences. This opportunity is not suited for those seeking routine assignments or gradual progress—it demands forward-thinking engineers ready to deploy advanced technologies for tangible, real-world outcomes.

In this role, you will architect AI-powered educational platforms with the capacity to reshape learning on a broad scale. You will harness large language models as specialized domain authorities to construct contextual knowledge repositories and intelligent tutoring systems, ensuring that AI-generated content achieves both relevance and impact. If the prospect of applying AI to revolutionize educational delivery excites you and you are prepared to own projects that challenge conventional limits, we invite your application.

What you will be doing

  • Architecting Self-Improving AI Content Generation Pipelines – Agent-orchestrated systems that produce educational materials and enhance themselves continuously through evaluation loops and structured experimentation.
  • Developing Evaluation Datasets & Experimental Frameworks – Purpose-built datasets (inputs → anticipated outputs) and scoring mechanisms that quantify, benchmark, and refine the quality of AI-generated educational content.
  • Engineering Context Packs – Structured domain knowledge modules that ground AI systems and ensure generation of precise, high-caliber educational materials across multiple subjects.

Key responsibilities

  • Enable LearnWith.AI to distinguish itself in the marketplace by producing personalized, engaging educational content powered by advanced AI systems

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Demonstrated professional experience embedding LLMs into production software products (chatbot development or usage of basic coding assistants does not meet this criterion)
  • Proven track record deploying production systems in which self-improving agents autonomously iterated on system architecture (e.g., generated proprietary tools, optimized reward functions independently, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience building evaluation or regression datasets that power self-improving systems and establishing quantifiable success metrics
  • Practical experience with contemporary agent-orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain)
