Staff AI Engineer   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Educational technology companies struggle with a persistent challenge: creating content that engages learners while adapting to their individual requirements. The market is saturated with one-size-fits-all learning platforms that fail to deliver meaningful results. Studies show that generic educational materials that don't align with diverse learning preferences lead to sharp declines in student engagement, leaving a void in effective instruction. Educators bear the burden of this gap, tasked with delivering personalized, high-quality teaching under significant time and budget limitations.

LearnWith.AI addresses this challenge directly through advanced AI-powered content generation. Our focus extends beyond simply deploying AI tools—we engineer intelligent systems that produce adaptive, individualized learning resources. Imagine a "Second Brain" for disciplines such as History or Science—a sophisticated knowledge engine that generates compelling, responsive educational content on demand. This strategy positions us distinctively within a competitive landscape and expands the potential of AI applications in education, enhancing accessibility, effectiveness, and learner satisfaction.

This position differs from typical AI engineering assignments. You won't spend your time confined to routine coding tasks or theoretical model development. You'll spearhead initiatives that transform student learning by architecting and deploying AI-powered systems designed to deliver genuinely personalized educational experiences. This opportunity is not suited for those seeking predictable workflows or modest incremental gains—it's designed for driven innovators ready to apply advanced technology to solve meaningful, real-world challenges.

In this role, you will architect AI-powered educational platforms with the capacity to reshape how learning occurs. You'll deploy LLMs as subject-matter specialists to construct contextual knowledge repositories and intelligent tutoring systems, ensuring our AI produces content that resonates and drives measurable outcomes. If the prospect of leveraging AI to redefine education excites you, and you're prepared to own projects that challenge conventional limits, we encourage you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Architecting AI-powered workflows: Combining diverse AI technologies, refining prompt engineering strategies, and iterating on systems informed by feedback from domain experts and end users.
  • Constructing knowledge repositories and Second Brains: Leveraging LLMs as specialized domain authorities to create and sustain documentation that captures institutional knowledge and distinctive insights.
  • Engineering data structures that deliver contextual foundations for business operations, guaranteeing scalable and efficient data architecture.

Key responsibilities

  • Enable LearnWith.AI to stand apart in the competitive landscape by producing personalized, engaging educational materials using AI-driven technologies

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Proven track record integrating LLMs into production software products (basic chatbot development or use of simple coding assistants does not meet this requirement)
  • Clear, demonstrable interest in educational technology
