Description

This is not a support role in the traditional sense.

It is a strategic executive partnership designed for someone who comprehends how time, credibility, and influence function at the most senior levels—and who can deliver impeccably without direct supervision.

You will serve as a vital extension of the founder's private office, collaborating closely with the Chief of Staff. Your charge is both straightforward and exacting: guarantee that every external engagement involving the founder—whether email, meeting, interview, or public appearance—is deliberate, thoroughly prepared, and managed with sound judgment. This position demands autonomous decision-making, sharp instincts, and the assurance to take action without continuous approval.

This position operates entirely remotely, yet it is not detached. You will be intricately woven into the founder's daily operations, handling high-priority inbound requests, safeguarding focus, and ensuring that only the most meaningful conversations occur at the appropriate moments. If you have worked alongside a high-profile CEO, hedge fund principal, or ultra-high-net-worth individual—and you understand which engagements create value and which do not—this role will be familiar territory. If you require physical proximity, detailed instructions, or continual affirmation, it will not be a fit.

This role is designed to safeguard the founder's most critical resources: time and reputation. If you are capable of operating at this caliber with precision, confidentiality, and professionalism—particularly in a remote capacity—we would like to hear from you.

What you will be doing

  • Assume full ownership of the founder's email and scheduling, filtering substantial external inbound with authoritative judgment.
  • Collaborate with the Chief of Staff to synchronize calendar management, priorities, and preparation with overarching strategic goals.
  • Compose, refine, and ghostwrite executive-level correspondence that conveys clarity, command, and purpose.
  • Act as the principal liaison for high-level external parties, including CEOs, investors, advisors, and members of the press.
  • Guarantee the founder enters every meeting, interview, and public engagement fully briefed, with relevant context and structured follow-up.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Awaiting granular instructions or continual sign-off.
  • Functioning as a mechanical scheduler devoid of judgment or strategic context.
  • Escalating every choice for approval.
  • Viewing "remote work" as permission for diminished accountability or rigor.
  • Performing tasks without meticulous attention, professionalism, or dependable execution.

Key responsibilities

Safeguard and enhance the founder's impact by applying independent judgment to time allocation, access management, and external communications.

Candidate requirements

  • 8–12+ years of experience supporting senior executives, founders, or ultra-high-net-worth principals.
  • Direct responsibility for managing inboxes and calendars of high-profile individuals.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing external-facing, executive-level correspondence.
  • Outstanding written communication skills—clear, confident, and commanding.
  • Proven discretion in confidential, NDA-governed settings.
  • Solid independent judgment and ease with making decisions in the absence of continuous oversight.
  • U.S.-based and capable of maintaining high availability in alignment with senior-executive schedules.

Nice to have

  • Background as an Executive Assistant, Executive Business Partner, or private office leader to a publicly recognized CEO.
  • Chief of Staff, family office, or private investment office experience.
  • Exposure to finance, technology, media, or political environments where reputation and perception are paramount.
