You will take ownership of one platform and dedicate the majority of your time to constructing the most complex components of the codebase with a compact team (3-5 senior engineers, no junior developers). The architectural choices you make will define whether other teams can build new applications quickly, integrate seamlessly, and deliver value to students. Execute these decisions well and you unlock significant leverage. Poor choices generate integration chaos and slow down multiple teams.
You design, build, and operate the systems you architect. You set quality standards and define technical patterns for your platform. We follow a spec-driven approach: design precedes implementation, planning comes before building. You will have high autonomy with no committees or review boards. This is a small, focused team where you are directly accountable for your deliverables.
