You've spent years coaching students — not simply teaching them. You understand the distinction: coaching means connecting, challenging, and refusing to accept anything less than a student's full potential. Teaching means delivering content. You've never operated as a content delivery mechanism.
Alpha operates one of the most unconventional schools you'll encounter. Students don't occupy rows while being lectured at. They progress through AI-driven learning applications at their individual pace. The AI manages instructional content. Your responsibility is to facilitate life skills workshops that capture the attention of K-8 students, conduct motivation sessions that drive them toward their weekly learning targets, and maintain standards when a student attempts to underperform. Academic progress is automated. You manage the human dimension.
This position offers a meaningful growth trajectory, and that trajectory is defined by deeper student impact. Individuals who consistently achieve their metrics (100% cohort completion of weekly app goals, satisfaction scores above 90%) advance into Lead Guide positions where they train other educators in these methods. Students remain the central focus.

What you will be doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students on topics including public speaking, focus, and giving and receiving feedback
- Administering Test2Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify students have truly acquired the skill, not merely attended the session
- Conducting daily motivation sessions that leverage student profiles, interests, and Coachbot analytics to ensure 100% of your cohort reaches their weekly app progression goals
- Utilizing storytelling, incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards), and individual relationships to overcome student resistance
- Monitoring cohort satisfaction scores to maintain a 90%+ benchmark on student surveys
What you will NOT be doing
- Standing before a whiteboard delivering lectures. Students progress academically via self-paced AI-powered apps, not through direct instruction from you.
- Supervising idle screen time. The setting involves kids using computers; the job demands active engagement.
- Reducing expectations when students resist. Test2Pass standards remain firm, regardless of whether a student is experiencing a difficult week.
- Creating curriculum materials from the ground up. Workshop playbooks and lesson plans are supplied; your responsibility is to execute them with the storytelling skill and presence that ensures students genuinely internalize the content.
- Handling parent communications, admissions processes, or campus operations oversight. Those functions belong to different roles.

Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any subject
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with K-8 (elementary and middle school) students
- Strong storytelling and facilitation presence — capable of maintaining children's engagement throughout a one-hour session
- Available to work on-site at the Alpha campus in Brownsville, TX
- Legal authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship
Nice to have
- Background in athletic coaching, camp counseling, or youth program facilitation
- Demonstrated history of high performance in competitive settings (academic, athletic, or professional)
- Experience in self-directed or app-based learning environments
