You understand the distinction: coaching means building connection, issuing challenges, and holding students accountable to their potential. Instruction means delivering information. You have never seen yourself as a content delivery mechanism.
Alpha operates a school model unlike any you've encountered. Students don't occupy rows of desks absorbing lectures. Instead, they progress through AI-driven learning applications at individualized speeds. The AI manages instructional delivery. Your responsibility is to facilitate life skills workshops that command the attention of K-8 learners, conduct motivation sessions that drive weekly learning target achievement, and maintain standards when students attempt to disengage. Academic progression is automated. You manage the human dimension.
This position offers meaningful upward trajectory, defined by expanded student influence. Educators who reliably achieve performance metrics (100% cohort attainment of weekly app targets, satisfaction ratings above 90%) advance to Lead Guide positions, where they train fellow educators in methodology refinement. Students remain the central focus.

What you will be doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students on topics including public speaking, concentration techniques, and constructive feedback exchange
- Administering Test2Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify genuine skill acquisition rather than passive attendance
- Conducting daily motivation sessions informed by student profiles, personal interests, and Coachbot analytics to achieve 100% cohort completion of weekly app progression targets
- Leveraging narrative techniques, incentive structures (campus currency, performance leaderboards), and individual rapport to overcome student disengagement
- Monitoring cohort satisfaction metrics with a goal of maintaining 90%+ scores on student feedback surveys
What you will NOT be doing
- Delivering traditional lectures at a whiteboard. Academic advancement occurs through self-paced AI-powered applications, not through direct instruction from you.
- Providing passive supervision. While students work on computers, your role demands active facilitation and engagement.
- Compromising standards in response to student resistance. Test2Pass benchmarks remain fixed regardless of individual circumstances or difficult weeks.
- Creating curriculum materials independently. Workshop structures and lesson frameworks are supplied; your responsibility is executing them with the delivery skill and narrative presence that ensures genuine student comprehension.
- Handling parent communications, admissions processes, or campus facility management. Those functions belong to separate roles.

Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with K-8 (elementary and middle school) age students
- Strong storytelling and facilitation skills — capacity to maintain child engagement throughout hour-long sessions
- Availability to work on-site at the Alpha campus in Brownsville, TX
- Authorization to work legally in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
Nice to have
- Experience as a sports coach, camp counselor, or youth program coordinator
- Demonstrated high achievement in competitive settings (academic, athletic, or professional contexts)
- Familiarity with self-directed or application-based learning environments
