You have years of experience coaching young people — not simply teaching them. You understand the distinction: coaching means connecting, challenging, and refusing to accept anything less than a student's best effort. Teaching means delivering content. You have never functioned as a content delivery mechanism.
Alpha operates the most unconventional school model you will encounter. Students do not sit in rows listening to lectures. They progress through AI-driven learning applications at individual paces. AI manages instructional content. Your responsibility is facilitating life skills workshops that command the attention of K-8 students, conducting motivation sessions that drive them toward weekly learning targets, and maintaining standards when a student attempts to underperform. The academic component is self-sustaining. You manage the human element.
This position offers a meaningful advancement trajectory, and that trajectory is expanded student impact. Those who consistently achieve performance metrics (100% cohort attainment of weekly app goals, satisfaction scores above 90%) advance into Lead Guide positions where they train other educators to execute this work more effectively. Students remain the focal point.

What you will be doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students on topics including public speaking, concentration, and feedback exchange
- Administering Test2Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify students have authentically acquired the skill, not merely attended the session
- Conducting daily motivation sessions leveraging student profiles, personal interests, and Coachbot analytics to ensure 100% of your cohort achieves weekly app progression goals
- Utilizing storytelling techniques, incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards), and individual rapport to overcome student resistance
- Monitoring cohort satisfaction scores to maintain a 90%+ benchmark on student surveys
What you will NOT be doing
- Standing before a whiteboard delivering lectures. Students progress academically via self-directed AI-powered applications, not through your direct instruction.
- Supervising without engagement. Children using computers is the environment; active involvement is the responsibility.
- Reducing expectations when students resist. Test2Pass standards remain consistent, irrespective of whether a student faces a challenging week.
- Creating curriculum independently. Lesson plans and workshop frameworks are supplied; your responsibility is executing them with the presence and narrative skill that ensures genuine student comprehension.
- Handling parent communications, conducting admissions processes, or overseeing campus logistics. Those functions belong to a separate role.

Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with K-8 (elementary and middle school) students
- Strong storytelling and facilitation presence — capable of maintaining engagement with a room of children for one hour
- Willingness to work on-site at Alpha's Brownsville, TX campus
- Legal authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship
Nice to have
- Experience as an athletic coach, camp counselor, or youth program leader
- Demonstrated history of high achievement in competitive settings (academic, athletic, or professional)
- Familiarity with self-directed or app-based learning environments
