What you will be doing
- Facilitating Workshops: Create and deliver workshops that prompt students to think, "I didn't realize I was capable of this!" Spanning topics from public speaking to entrepreneurship, you'll teach practical skills that motivate.
- Conducting daily Motivation Sessions: Begin each day by helping students establish meaningful goals and develop the mindset necessary to achieve them.
- Supporting student achievement: Apply tested frameworks to ensure every student reaches ambitious academic and personal objectives.
- Developing personalized motivational approaches: Collaborate with students to create reward systems and incentives that foster intrinsic excellence.
What you will NOT be doing
- Conventional instruction: Set aside traditional teaching methods. At Alpha, students utilize advanced educational apps to master core content—your function is to mentor, inspire, and enhance their educational experience.
- Imposing discipline: Punishment has no place in our model. You'll rely on reasoning and positive reinforcement to foster a respectful, stimulating atmosphere.
Candidate requirements
- Willingness to work in person in Brownsville, TX. Relocation assistance is available.
- Bachelor's degree in any subject.
- Experience employing a growth mindset to achieve a high level of performance
- High level of energy and a desire to boost others up.
- A desire to connect, inspire, and motivate K-8th grade students.
- Legal right to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
