What you will be doing

  • Orchestrate powerful morning kickoff sessions that set the tone, mindset, and expectations for student-athletes' daily excellence
  • Conduct targeted 1:1 mentoring sessions that connect athletic discipline to academic achievement and personal development
  • Design and deliver transformative life skills workshops leveraging your elite athletic journey and lessons learned
  • Execute precision-focused afternoon training sessions that simultaneously develop athletic capability and character formation
  • Implement rigorous progress tracking systems that hold students accountable to measurable standards in performance and mindset development

What you will NOT be doing

  • Managing administrative paperwork that distracts from your direct impact on student-athletes
  • Following outdated coaching methodologies that prioritize wins over character development
  • Functioning as a glorified PE teacher running generic sports activities
  • Working in isolation without the support of a professional development team
  • Compromising on excellence or accepting mediocre effort from your student-athletes

Key responsibilities

Transform high-potential young athletes into disciplined leaders through elite-level coaching that builds the mental fortitude, physical capability, and character necessary for lifelong achievement.

Candidate requirements

  • Proven elite athletic achievement at the highest competitive levels: Olympic Games participation, World Championship experience, professional career in major leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, NHL), or NCAA Division I All-American honors
  • Bachelor's degree (field of study open)
  • Demonstrated success translating athletic principles into effective life skills coaching and mentorship
  • Verified track record of inspirational leadership that drives measurable performance improvement in athletic, academic, or professional environments
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Commitment to residing in Austin, TX
