Youth Sports Coach   $150,000 USD/year

Description

  • $150,000 annually, disbursed weekly. Health, dental, and vision coverage begins on day one
  • Austin, TX (on-site position)
  • Relocation assistance available

If you've performed at the elite level—Olympian, World Champion, NCAA D1 First Team All-American—you understand what it takes to achieve excellence. The question is: can you convert those championship principles into concrete coaching methods that elevate students into top performers?

At Texas Sports Academy, your new field is developing champions—not from the sidelines, but through direct, daily coaching that challenges students to surpass their perceived boundaries. You won't simply recount your achievements. You'll convert elite-level athletic discipline into practical motivational frameworks, instruct resilience via interactive workshops, and lead intensive training sessions where every participant is measured against championship benchmarks.

Austin provides year-round outdoor training conditions, a dynamic sports community, and a purpose-centered environment where your competitive background becomes the blueprint for guiding tomorrow's leaders.

Coach with intention. Drive transformation through engagement. Apply today.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting focused 1:1 coaching sessions where you convert your competitive discipline into concrete, executable strategies
  • Directing high-impact morning assemblies that energize the full student population
  • Leading interactive life skills workshops where you actively guide students through exercises in resilience, leadership, and goal achievement
  • Managing structured afternoon athletic training that embodies championship principles: creating drills, demanding effort, refining technique, and instilling grit and collaboration through sport (not merely overseeing activity)
  • Engaging proactively with every student across the day: moving through independent study periods, intervening to motivate when a student faces obstacles, and generating instructional opportunities that produce breakthrough progress

What you will NOT be doing

  • Observing from the sidelines in a symbolic capacity: this is an active coaching position. You're directly involved, running sessions, and responding in the moment.
  • Delivering conventional academic instruction or following set lesson plans: students use adaptive learning applications. Your focus is life coaching, motivation, and developing meta-skills through athletics and mentorship.

Candidate requirements

  • We're looking for former elite-level athletes with verified achievement at sport's highest tier — Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans
  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • Documented experience leveraging sport to mentor and develop life skills
  • Proven motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional contexts
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Willing to reside in or relocate to Austin, TX
