Youth Sports Coach   $150,000 USD/year

Description

  • $150,000 annual salary, distributed weekly. Full health, dental, and vision coverage begins on day one
  • Austin, TX (on-site position)
  • Relocation assistance available

Competing at the elite level—as an Olympian, World Champion, or D1 First Team All-American—requires unmatched discipline. The question is: can you convert that experience into concrete coaching methods that turn students into top performers?

Texas Sports Academy is where your next challenge lies: developing champions through direct engagement rather than observing from the sidelines. You'll actively coach students and drive them to exceed their perceived limits daily. Your role isn't storytelling—it's applying elite athletic principles to create practical motivation frameworks, delivering resilience training in hands-on workshops, and conducting intense practice sessions where championship standards are non-negotiable.

Austin provides a year-round outdoor training environment, a dynamic sports community, and a purpose-led mission where your high-level athletic background becomes the cornerstone for developing tomorrow's leaders.

Lead with intent. Drive transformation. Submit your application today.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting individualized motivation sessions where you convert your athletic expertise into concrete, implementable coaching tactics
  • Facilitating dynamic morning assemblies that energize the full student population
  • Delivering interactive life skills workshops where you coach students directly through exercises in resilience, leadership, and goal achievement
  • Directing organized afternoon athletic training that reflects championship principles: creating drills, demanding maximum effort, refining technique, and instilling grit and collaboration through sport (not mere supervision)
  • Actively connecting with every student across the day: moving through spaces during self-directed learning periods, intervening to inspire when a student faces obstacles, and generating moments that catalyze transformative thinking

What you will NOT be doing

  • Observing passively from the sidelines: this role is not ceremonial or symbolic. You'll be on the ground, directly engaging students, leading sessions, and making real-time interventions.
  • Delivering conventional academic instruction or adhering to set curricula: students use adaptive learning applications. Your focus is life coaching, motivational guidance, and teaching transferable skills through athletics and mentorship.

Candidate requirements

  • We are looking for former elite athletes with demonstrated achievement at the highest competitive levels — Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Documented experience leveraging sport to coach and mentor life skills
  • Verified motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional environments
  • Authorization to work legally in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate to Austin, TX
