At Texas Sports Academy, athletics isn't an afterthought—it's the foundation of how we teach life lessons. This is a direct, hands-on position where you'll lead daily motivational programming, coach essential life skills through athletic training, and guide high-performing student-athletes using the principles you've mastered.

What you will be doing

  • Conducting daily morning sessions that motivate and prepare student-athletes for the day
  • Delivering 1:1 motivational coaching focused on academic and personal development
  • Leading life skills workshops through storytelling, reflective practice, and hands-on coaching methods
  • Directing afternoon athletic training sessions that develop resilience, teamwork, and responsibility
  • Monitoring student development and maintaining rigorous standards for both mindset and achievement

Candidate requirements

  • We are looking for former elite athletes who have competed at the highest level of sport — Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans
  • Bachelor's degree in any field
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging sport to mentor and develop life skills
  • Established track record of motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional environments
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without need for visa sponsorship
  • Prepared to live in or relocate to Austin, TX
