Director of Client Enrollment   $200,000 USD/year

Description

While most enrollment positions prioritize throughput, this role is designed to uphold quality and alignment.

Alpha is constructing one of the most forward-thinking school models globally. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Students routinely exceed national learning benchmarks, supported by measurable outcomes. Afternoon hours are dedicated to deeper exploration, self-directed work, and practical capability development. The model delivers results. But success depends entirely on enrolling the right families. Your role is to ensure that happens.

You will lead the complete admissions process for a campus, spanning initial application to final enrollment. This is not a role where responsibility is distributed. You are accountable for the family experience, for ensuring they fully comprehend the model, and for confirming that enrollment decisions rest on sound reasoning. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not maximizing numbers. The objective is securing genuine fit.

We welcome candidates with backgrounds in premium service delivery outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership communities, or entrepreneurial roles involving direct management of premium client experiences. What counts is your capacity to execute a refined, multistage process with discernment, precision, and accountability. If your career has been defined by delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and experience quality shape the brand, this role will resonate. Apply now to apply that standard to meaningful work.

What you will be doing

  • Leading the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, beginning with initial outreach and concluding with onboarding.
  • Facilitating needs-based discussions to assess compatibility before proposing options or advising on next steps.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family relationships across varying enrollment stages, maintaining transparent tracking and timely follow-up.
  • Guiding campus visits, student shadow days, and decision-making conversations that articulate outcomes, requirements, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Ensuring precise CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and consistent service delivery.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Accepting families who lack alignment in order to meet quotas.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or working through complex approval hierarchies.
  • Transferring ownership of the family journey across multiple staff members.
  • Operating remotely. This position is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a high-caliber, selective enrollment process that attracts aligned families while safeguarding the integrity and academic performance of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences brand standing (education, high-end hospitality, executive support, exclusive membership services, or owner-managed operations).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment cycle from initial interaction through onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently managing 20+ client, guest, or family accounts at various stages, supported by a reliable tracking and prioritization methodology.
  • Capacity to offer specific examples of advisory decision-making, including instances where you counseled against your offering when fit was lacking.
  • Professional-level written communication experience with senior leaders, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Malibu, CA; Los Angeles, CA; or Santa Barbara, CA.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive private school admissions or selective program recruitment.
  • Background in high-end hospitality, VIP client services, or senior executive support functions.
  • Experience designing or enhancing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion alignment, not merely velocity.
