Director of Client Enrollment   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most enrollment positions are designed to maximize numbers. This role is built to uphold quality.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking educational models. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Students routinely advance faster than national averages, supported by measurable evidence. Afternoons are dedicated to depth, autonomy, and the cultivation of practical competencies. The model is proven. But its success depends on enrolling the right families.

This is your domain.

You will control the complete enrollment experience for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and concluding with onboarding. This is not a coordination role. You are accountable for the family's perception of Alpha, their comprehension of our approach, and whether their enrollment decision reflects genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate informed discussions, and advise against enrollment when that serves the mission. The objective is not volume maximization. The objective is mutual fit.

We welcome applicants from premium client-facing environments outside conventional education: elite private schools, competitive admissions programs, high-end hospitality, executive-level client management, exclusive membership communities, or entrepreneurial operators who have independently overseen sophisticated client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a refined, multi-phase engagement with discernment, precision, and accountability.

If your career has centered on exceptional service delivery where trust, professionalism, and experience integrity shape brand perception, this position will resonate—only now applied to work that produces meaningful impact.

This is a salaried, full-time, on-site position. We are recruiting across Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, Orange County, Roswell, Chicago, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Dallas-Fort Worth. Relocation assistance is offered.

What you will be doing

  • Controlling the entire enrollment pathway for incoming families, from initial outreach through final onboarding.
  • Executing discovery conversations to assess alignment before offering solutions or advancing to subsequent stages.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across varying enrollment phases, maintaining clear pipeline visibility and follow-up discipline.
  • Facilitating campus visits, student shadow days, and enrollment dialogues that transparently convey results, expectations, and the profile of families who thrive in the model.
  • Ensuring precise CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable accurate forecasting, strategic prioritization, and sustained service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deploying volume-driven or aggressive enrollment methods.
  • Accepting families who lack alignment merely to satisfy enrollment targets.
  • Supervising teams or operating within complex hierarchical structures.
  • Distributing responsibility for the family journey across multiple team members.
  • Working from a remote location. This position requires campus presence.

Key responsibilities

Design and deliver a high-caliber, selective enrollment process that attracts aligned families while safeguarding the reputation and academic effectiveness of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing high-touch, individualized service in settings where quality of experience directly influences brand standing (education, luxury hospitality, executive client services, premium membership environments, or independently managed client operations).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment cycle from initial inquiry to successful onboarding.
  • Track record of concurrently stewarding 20+ client, guest, or family accounts across multiple stages, supported by a reliable tracking and prioritization framework.
  • Capacity to share specific instances of consultative judgment, including occasions where you advised against your offering because it was not an appropriate match.
  • Professional-level written communication with senior leaders, affluent clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these markets: Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; Orange County, CA; Roswell, GA; Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; or Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions for selective independent schools or competitive enrollment programs.
  • Experience in upscale hospitality, VIP client relations, or executive-level account management.
  • History of developing or optimizing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance enrollment alignment and decision quality, not merely throughput.
