Admissions Relationship Manager   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions roles prioritize volume. This position protects excellence.

Alpha is creating one of the world's most ambitious school models. Our campuses integrate technology-driven learning with rigorous academics and elevated expectations for both students and staff. Students routinely outpace national learning benchmarks—a claim supported by measurable data. Afternoons shift focus to independent thinking, depth of mastery, and skill-building rooted in real-world application. The model delivers results. But success depends entirely on bringing in the right families.

That's your responsibility.

You will manage the complete enrollment experience for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and concluding with onboarding. This is not a role where you pass families from one person to the next. You own how families perceive us, how well they grasp what we offer, and whether enrollment decisions stem from genuine alignment. Your job includes assessing compatibility, facilitating meaningful dialogue, and advising against enrollment when appropriate. Maximum enrollment is not the objective. Alignment is.

We welcome applicants from premium client service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective independent schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or entrepreneurial operators who have directly overseen high-value client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to manage a sophisticated, multi-phase process with sound judgment, clarity, and reliability.

If your career has centered on delivering elevated service where trust, discretion, and client experience define brand value, this role will be recognizable—just directed toward work that produces meaningful outcomes.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are currently hiring in La Jolla, Los Angeles, Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, and South Bay. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Taking full ownership of the enrollment journey for each prospective family, from initial outreach to final onboarding.
  • Facilitating needs-based discovery conversations to evaluate compatibility before offering solutions or outlining next steps.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family relationships across various enrollment stages, maintaining clear tracking and timely follow-up.
  • Guiding campus tours, student shadow visits, and decision-stage discussions that transparently convey outcomes, expectations, and model suitability.
  • Keeping CRM and enrollment databases current and accurate (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and consistent service delivery.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Applying transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Accepting families who do not align with the model solely to meet enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a large team or working through complex approval hierarchies.
  • Fragmenting the family experience across multiple points of contact.
  • Operating remotely. This position is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Own and deliver a high-trust, selective enrollment process that successfully converts aligned families while safeguarding the integrity and academic performance of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where the quality of that service directly shapes brand reputation (education, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, premium memberships, or owner-operated client services).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment cycle from initial inquiry through onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently managing 20+ relationships with clients, guests, or families at varying stages, supported by a reliable tracking and prioritization system.
  • Capacity to share specific examples of consultative decision-making, including instances where you advised against your own product or service due to poor fit.
  • Professional-level written communication experience with senior executives, high-net-worth clients, or other sophisticated audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these California markets: La Jolla, Los Angeles, Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, or South Bay.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience with selective independent school admissions or enrollment in competitive programs.
  • Background in high-end hospitality, VIP client services, or executive support functions.
  • Experience designing or optimizing enrollment workflows, service standards, or operational procedures.
  • Comfort leveraging CRM data and insights to enhance conversion quality rather than merely speed.
