Client Services Director   $200,000 USD/year

Description

While most enrollment positions prioritize volume, this role is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. Our campuses integrate rigorous academics with technology-enabled learning and maintain elevated expectations for both students and staff. Students routinely outpace national learning benchmarks—outcomes we can verify through data. Afternoons are dedicated to depth, autonomy, and the cultivation of real-world competencies. The model delivers results. But success depends entirely on selecting the right families. That's your responsibility.

You will oversee the complete admissions process for a campus, beginning with applications and concluding with enrollment. This is not a role that hands off responsibility. You will define how families experience our organization, how thoroughly they comprehend the model, and whether enrollment choices are made for sound reasons. You will evaluate alignment, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not to maximize numbers. The objective is to ensure fit.

We welcome candidates from premium service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or owner-operators who have directly managed valuable client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a high-touch, multi-phase process with discernment, precision, and accountability. If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where trust, confidentiality, and experience quality are brand-defining, this role will resonate. Apply now to bring that caliber of work to something meaningful.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the entire enrollment experience for prospective families, spanning initial outreach through final onboarding.
  • Facilitating needs-assessment discussions to evaluate alignment before offering solutions or advising on next actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across various enrollment stages, with transparent tracking of progress and follow-up activities.
  • Directing campus tours, student shadow visits, and decision-making conversations that articulate outcomes, expectations, and the ideal candidate profile for our model.
  • Ensuring CRM and enrollment data accuracy (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, task prioritization, and sustained service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Accepting families who lack alignment purely to meet enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or navigating complex hierarchical approval structures.
  • Distributing ownership of the family journey across multiple departments or roles.
  • Operating remotely. This position requires on-campus presence by design.

Key responsibilities

Design and deliver a high-trust, selective enrollment process that successfully enrolls families who are genuinely aligned, while safeguarding the integrity and academic performance of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly shapes brand perception (education, high-end hospitality, executive support, exclusive membership, or owner-operated service businesses).
  • Proven ownership of a full-cycle client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial engagement through onboarding completion.
  • Track record of managing 20+ simultaneous client, guest, or family relationships at varying stages, supported by an organized tracking and prioritization approach.
  • Capacity to offer specific examples of consultative decision-making, including instances where you recommended against your own product or service due to misalignment.
  • Professional-level written communication experience with senior leaders, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Malibu, CA; Los Angeles, CA; or Santa Barbara, CA.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience with selective private school admissions or enrollment in competitive programs.
  • Background in high-end hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level support functions.
  • Experience developing or enhancing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency using data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion quality, rather than merely accelerating speed.
