Director of Enrollment   $250,000 USD/year

Description

This enrollment role is not designed to maximize volume. It exists to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. Our schools integrate demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Students routinely exceed national learning benchmarks, supported by measurable data. Afternoons are reserved for deeper exploration, independent work, and practical skill development. The model delivers results. But it depends entirely on enrolling aligned families.

This is your responsibility.

You will manage the complete admissions process for a campus, starting with the application and continuing through final enrollment. This is not a transactional handoff. You determine how families perceive us, how well they grasp the model, and whether their enrollment decision is rooted in the right motivations. You will evaluate alignment, facilitate meaningful discussions, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not filling seats. The objective is compatibility.

We welcome candidates from premium service sectors outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or entrepreneurial operators who have directly overseen valuable client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a detailed, multi-phase engagement with discernment, transparency, and reliability.

If your career has been built on providing elevated service in which trust, professionalism, and experience quality are inseparable from the brand, this position will resonate—now directed toward work that meaningfully influences outcomes.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-campus position. We are recruiting in Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, and San Francisco. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the entire enrollment experience for prospective families, beginning with initial inquiry and concluding with onboarding.
  • Facilitating exploratory conversations to assess compatibility before offering recommendations or outlining next actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across varying stages of the enrollment funnel, with complete transparency on progress and pending actions.
  • Facilitating campus visits, student shadow days, and enrollment discussions that articulate results, set clear expectations, and define the ideal candidate profile.
  • Ensuring precise CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable accurate forecasting, strategic prioritization, and sustained service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Admitting families who do not align with the model solely to achieve enrollment targets.
  • Leading a sizable team or working through multi-layered approval structures.
  • Distributing responsibility for the family journey across several personnel.
  • Operating remotely. This position is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a high-caliber, selective enrollment process that secures the right families while safeguarding the integrity and effectiveness of the Alpha educational model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where the quality of service directly shapes brand perception (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or independently operated services).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment experience from initial engagement through onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently managing 20+ client, guest, or family accounts at differing phases, supported by a disciplined tracking and prioritization approach.
  • Capacity to supply specific examples of consultative guidance, including instances when you recommended against your offering because it was not suitable.
  • Professional correspondence experience with senior leaders, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Marin County, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; or San Francisco, CA.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive private school admissions or enrollment for selective programs.
  • Background in luxury hospitality, VIP client services, or senior-level executive support.
  • Experience designing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service benchmarks.
  • Comfort leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance enrollment fit, not merely throughput.
