What if each play experience could drive quantifiable advances in child development?

Alpha's approach to education diverges sharply from conventional schooling. Our PreK program merges play-driven curriculum architecture with live developmental metrics — eliminating scripted lessons and compliance protocols. You will create responsive learning experiences spanning all readiness areas, guide a team of classroom Guides in executing them with both precision and enthusiasm, and monitor concrete milestone achievement for every child in your cohort.

This role demands active, present leadership. Approximately one-third of your time will be classroom-based — demonstrating facilitation methods, observing instruction, and conducting alignment reviews. The remainder involves curriculum creation, coaching Guides toward defined, trackable outcomes, and updating families with data-supported communication. The results will be visible: four-year-olds reaching developmental benchmarks ahead of schedule, Guides raising their performance metrics consistently, and parents championing the program.

Guide the team. Shape the learning. Submit your application today.

What you will be doing

  • Conduct individual and small-group coaching for PreK Guides, demonstrating effective methods and recognizing quantifiable progress
  • Create and lead play-centered learning experiences integrating SEL, literacy, numeracy, and motor development, setting the standard for classroom excellence
  • Audit and refine Guide observation records weekly to ensure rubric consistency and clear action steps, facilitating calibration meetings to maintain milestone tracking visibility
  • Deliver family communications and coordinate team meetings that synchronize objectives and reinforce collective commitment to campus PreK readiness targets

What you will NOT be doing

  • Executing scripted lesson plans or compliance-focused protocols — you'll craft flexible, play-based learning experiences informed by live developmental data
  • Implementing a pre-determined curriculum from external sources — you control quarterly and weekly instructional design
  • Operating independently without structured feedback — coaching dialogue and alignment meetings are embedded in your weekly routine
  • Overseeing K-12 learners using digital platforms — this position focuses exclusively on early childhood education with direct, classroom-based engagement

Key responsibilities

Lead campus-wide PreK readiness achievement by coaching Guides, ensuring program integrity, and maintaining engaging, evidence-informed classroom environments.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or related discipline; Master's degree or specialized certification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in early childhood education, child development, or a related area
  • Direct experience facilitating group activities with children ages 3 to 5
  • Demonstrated success designing and executing play-based educational frameworks or curricula that support developmental milestone progression, e.g. Montessori
  • At least 1 year of experience coaching or supervising educator teams with measurable performance standards
  • Experience composing written family progress communications and facilitating team coordination meetings within educational environments
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Availability to work on-site at Alpha Austin campus with relocation assistance available as needed

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of educational technology platforms, adaptive monitoring systems, or digital documentation tools for early childhood contexts
  • Background in behavior guidance methods and co-regulation approaches for children ages 3-5
