Preschool Program Coordinator   $150,000 USD/year

Description

  • Onsite role in Austin, TX. Relocation assistance available
  • $150,000 annual salary, paid on a weekly basis
  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage from day one

Imagine a preschool where every play interaction drives documented developmental progress.

Alpha's PreK program operates outside the conventional education framework. We merge play-driven curriculum architecture with live developmental tracking — no scripted lesson plans, no procedural checklists. You will construct responsive learning experiences spanning all developmental readiness areas, guide a team of classroom Guides to execute them with both accuracy and enthusiasm, and monitor quantifiable milestone achievement for each child under your program.

This role is built around direct involvement. Approximately one-third of your time will be classroom-facing — demonstrating facilitation methods, observing live sessions, and conducting alignment reviews. The remainder centers on curriculum creation, coaching Guides toward concrete performance outcomes, and delivering evidence-informed progress reports to families. The results will be visible: preschoolers reaching developmental markers ahead of schedule, Guides elevating their effectiveness scores weekly, and families who champion the program.

Guide the Guides. Architect the play. Submit your application today.

What you will be doing

  • Conduct one-on-one and small-group coaching for PreK Guides, demonstrating techniques and recognizing quantifiable progress
  • Create and lead play-centered learning sessions that integrate social-emotional learning, literacy, numeracy, and motor development, setting the standard for the team
  • Audit and align Guide documentation on a weekly basis for rubric consistency and clarity, facilitating calibration sessions to maintain transparent milestone tracking
  • Develop family communications and coordinate team meetings that synchronize priorities and uphold collective standards for campus-wide PreK readiness targets

What you will NOT be doing

  • Adhering to inflexible lesson plans or procedural routines — you will build adaptive, play-focused themes informed by actual developmental data
  • Executing a pre-determined curriculum from central administration — you control quarterly and weekly learning architecture
  • Operating independently without structured feedback — coaching dialogues and calibration reviews are embedded weekly
  • Overseeing K-12 learners using application-based platforms — this position is entirely focused on early childhood, direct classroom engagement

Key responsibilities

Lead campus-wide PreK readiness outcomes by coaching Guides, ensuring program integrity, and cultivating classrooms that are both joyful and informed by developmental data.

  • Demonstrated capability in designing and executing play-based educational frameworks or curricula that support developmental milestone attainment, such as Montessori
  • No less than 1 year coaching or supervising a team of educators with defined performance expectations
  • Background in composing written family progress communications and facilitating team coordination meetings in an educational context
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
  • Commitment to onsite work at Alpha's Austin campus, with relocation support available as needed

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of educational technology platforms, adaptive monitoring dashboards, or digital observation systems utilized in early childhood environments
  • Background in behavior management approaches and co-regulation methods for children ages 3-5
