Senior Principal Architect   $200,000 USD/year

Description

The SaaS industry is advancing at an unprecedented pace, yet many SaaSOps teams remain constrained by manual workflows and reactive incident management rather than proactive, AI-enabled automation. Organizations squander millions on suboptimal cloud operations, experience preventable outages, and lack the agility to scale in line with ambitious expansion plans. Trilogy operates differently—we acquire a minimum of one SaaS company each month and are fully committed to AI-driven transformation to construct the industry's most sophisticated, automated SaaS Ops capability.

Trilogy manages a portfolio of SaaS businesses, each presenting distinct architectures, customer bases, and operational complexities. Rather than viewing SaaS Ops as overhead, we position it as a strategic differentiator. We are establishing a world-class, AI-augmented SaaS Ops organization engineered to ensure maximum availability, operational efficiency, and cloud cost optimization across our extensive product range. This represents an opportunity to architect and implement SaaS Ops strategy at portfolio scale, harnessing automation, artificial intelligence, and exemplary operational frameworks to establish a new benchmark for the industry.

This is not a conventional corporate IT or infrastructure oversight position. This is a technical leadership role intended for someone who has independently built and owned SaaS Ops within a SaaS organization, not merely participated as a team member. The successful candidate is primarily a technical authority, secondarily a leader—someone energized by architecting scalable infrastructure, embedding automation, and navigating critical operational trade-offs. You will be accountable for architecting the future of SaaS Ops across a varied portfolio of SaaS enterprises, guaranteeing frictionless product integrations, and deploying AI to construct an automated, high-performance operations platform.

You will collaborate with exceptional peers spanning Engineering, Product, and Executive leadership to define and realize this strategic vision. If you hold well-formed perspectives on SaaS Ops best practices, relish the complexity of multi-product operational environments, and aspire to pioneer AI-enabled operations, this role is designed for you. Apply now to claim a transformational career opportunity.

What you will be doing

  • Architect and deploy best-in-class SaaS Ops methodologies grounded in extensive expertise and clearly defined perspectives on operational excellence
  • Drive critical decisions regarding operational standards, AI infrastructure, and process architecture to deliver reliability, security, and cost efficiency across the entire portfolio
  • Design and refine an integration framework for assimilating newly acquired SaaS products into a unified SaaS Ops organization with minimal operational disruption
  • Optimize utilization of AI-driven platforms for automation, cost management, and operational performance

What you will NOT be doing

  • Supervising the repetitive manual tasks of conventional SaaS Ops; your mandate will center on automation and AI-powered transformation
  • Running operations for a single application; you'll be navigating complexity across hundreds of products within our SaaS ecosystem
  • Accepting established norms; you'll be charged with challenging and reimagining operations using AI capabilities

Key responsibilities

  • Own a high-performance, AI-enabled SaaS Ops organization that guarantees outstanding reliability, cost efficiency, and frictionless operations for an expanding portfolio of acquired SaaS businesses

Candidate requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience managing and owning SaaS Ops supporting enterprise customers
  • Experience owning SaaS Ops and leading major cloud migrations at an SME with enterprise customers
  • Experience applying AI and automation technologies to SaaS operations
  • Advanced AWS and DevOps skills (including Docker and Kubernetes)
