Division CFO   $400,000 USD/year

Description

Your experience in PE, IB, or Big 4 M&A wasn't meant for budget maintenance and slide approvals.

You're built to design, challenge, and drive forward — converting ambiguous strategy into airtight execution roadmaps, not multi-year projections that collect dust. Financial modeling under constraints is second nature to you. Now you're ready to apply that mastery where it directly influences operational blueprints, not merely deal documentation. This role delivers exactly that.

Trilogy seeks a finance architect with operational instincts and transactional precision: a professional who excels amid uncertainty, takes ownership of results, and harnesses AI as an extension of thinking. You'll collaborate closely with founders and senior leaders to define the trajectory of SaaS and education businesses, constructing the financial infrastructure and capital allocation models that enable intelligent scaling, not indiscriminate expansion.

If your perfect week involves dissecting a flawed strategic plan, reconstructing it with staged checkpoints and metric-based controls, and delivering analysis that compels executive recalibration, this is your opportunity.

You won't oversee 30-person departments. You won't enforce budget compliance. You won't wait years for measurable influence. You'll drive strategic direction with velocity, discipline, and AI-augmented accuracy, and your contributions will alter the course of ventures reshaping industries.

What you will be doing

  • Constructing and maintaining integrated 3-statement models with transparent assumptions, ERP-sourced data, and AI-driven sensitivity analysis.
  • Delivering complete investment packages — financial models, risk scenarios, and executive-ready memoranda — within 72 hours.
  • Stress-testing customer acquisition costs, retention curves, pricing structures, utilization metrics, and other operational levers to expose critical assumptions and unlock clarity.
  • Transforming weak business plans into phased, quantifiable execution frameworks anchored by KPI-based controls.
  • Managing and continuously improving live financial systems that enable real-time strategic decisions across SaaS and education portfolios.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Managing month-end close, audit preparation, or compliance workflows — this is not a controllership or traditional FP&A management position.
  • Building or supervising large teams — your influence stems from deliverables, not organizational hierarchy.
  • Producing presentations that languish unread — all guidance must be grounded in rigorous models, validated assumptions, and actionable decision paths.
  • Working at a steady, predictable pace — this environment is intentionally fast-moving, AI-enabled, and filled with ambiguity.
  • Waiting for approval to challenge convention — you are expected to scrutinize strategy and sharpen it proactively.

Key responsibilities

Design and operate an AI-enhanced financial infrastructure that supports critical investment choices, sustainable expansion, and operational precision across rapidly growing SaaS and education enterprises.

Candidate requirements

  • 5+ years in PE, IB, or Big 4 M&A/Corporate Finance (excluding audit/tax), with hands-on involvement in transaction modeling, stakeholder engagement, and capital decision-making.
  • CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA, or MBA, with comprehensive understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and fully integrated financial statements.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).
  • Proven application of AI tools to support modeling, scenario development, research, executive communication, and process automation.
  • History of delivering financial models and board-quality strategic recommendations with speed, precision, and clarity.
  • Based within UTC-8 to UTC+3 time zones.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with SaaS or EdTech operating models.
  • Background in designing financial systems end-to-end, beyond working within existing frameworks.
  • Experience navigating founder-driven organizations with fluid priorities and direct communication norms.
