Description

You didn't spend years in PE, IB, or Big 4 M&A sharpening your skills just to rubber-stamp budgets and polish presentation slides.

You're here to design, challenge, and drive forward — transforming ambiguous strategy into rock-solid execution frameworks, not multi-year projections that gather dust. You've honed financial modeling under intense pressure. Now you want to deploy that expertise where it influences real operating decisions, not merely supports pitch books. This is that opportunity.

Trilogy seeks a finance strategist with operational instincts and deal-making precision: someone who excels amid uncertainty, takes ownership of results, and harnesses AI as a force multiplier. You'll partner directly with founders and senior leaders to define the trajectory of SaaS or education businesses, establishing the financial infrastructure and capital frameworks that enable intelligent scale, not wasteful expansion.

If your best weeks involve dissecting a fragile business case, reconstructing it with milestone-driven logic and KPI boundaries, and delivering analysis that forces leadership to rethink priorities, this role will suit you.

You won't oversee thirty-person departments. You won't chase variance reports. You won't wait ten years to see results. You'll craft strategy with velocity, discipline, and AI-powered accuracy, and your contributions will reshape ventures that are reshaping industries.

What you will be doing

  • Constructing and maintaining 3-statement models featuring detailed drivers, integrated ERP data flows, and AI-assisted scenario analysis.
  • Delivering complete investment packages — including models, sensitivity frameworks, and board-quality memos — within 72 hours.
  • Stress-testing CAC, retention, pricing, utilization, and similar metrics to generate insight and expose critical assumptions.
  • Transforming weak business plans into phased, trackable execution roadmaps anchored by KPI thresholds.
  • Managing and iterating on live financial platforms that support real-time decision-making across SaaS and education holdings.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Managing month-end close, coordinating audits, or focusing on compliance workflows — this is not a controller or FP&A management position.
  • Building or supervising large teams — your influence stems from work product, not org chart position.
  • Producing presentations that languish unopened — every insight must rest on rigorous models, validated assumptions, and an actionable decision path.
  • Working at a comfortable pace — this is a fast-moving, AI-enabled, uncertainty-heavy environment by intention.
  • Waiting for approval to think strategically — your mandate is to challenge direction and refine it with conviction.

Key responsibilities

Design and maintain an AI-enhanced financial infrastructure that informs critical investment choices, scalable expansion, and operational precision across rapidly growing SaaS and education enterprises.

Candidate requirements

  • 5+ years in PE, IB, or Big 4 M&A/Corporate Finance (excluding audit/tax), with hands-on involvement in deal modeling, client/board engagement, and investment analysis.
  • CPA, ACA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA, or MBA, with comprehensive understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and consolidated financial statements.
  • Prior hands-on experience with enterprise ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).
  • Proven application of AI as a modeling partner for scenario design, research, memo creation, and workflow automation.
  • History of delivering models and executive-level recommendations with pace, precision, and strategic depth.
  • Based in UTC-8 to UTC+3 time zones.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with SaaS or EdTech operating models.
  • Background in designing financial systems, not only building models inside existing structures.
  • Previous work in fluid, founder-driven settings with shifting priorities and direct feedback cultures.
